This book is well illustrated and well organized. It is also pretty thorough on everything but a detailed coverage of each breed and detailed plans of different chicken coop designs. For those, other books on just those topics are good. I would recommend this book to adults contemplating having chickens. If a person does decide to raise chickens, there are other more detailed books that would be worth having to fill out the information in this very good introduction book.
