This product was of good quality and constructed well. I chose the extra large size and hoped that is would accomodate food or supplies for a large family. It does.

The cart holds an entire grocery cart of food. It took about 30 minutes to assemble. Sturdy, but lightweight. The wheels go over a curb easily. The only drawback - the wheels don't swivel, so doesn't turn as smoothly as I'd like.

I invested in this because I am a college student without a car but, my apartment complex is next door to a grocery store & I was tired of breaking my fingers carrying groceries to and fro. The directions are very simple & easy to follow. It took about 30-45mins to put the cart together. Just be sure to bend the pins so that they will stay in place otherwise they WILL surely fall out. Also, be weary of the little rubber caps on the wheels...they tend to fall off as they please. The wheels don't swivel so just be careful pushing the cart. Just to give you some perspective, we purchased $70 worth of groceries & all was able to fit it all into the cart...we had no issue of the cart turning over but at times it was a little bothersome steering the cart. It definitely holds true though on being able to handle a lot of weight...we were even able to haul the cart up 2 flights of stairs to our apartment door fully loaded! Overall, a great buy for those who have to travel a considerable distance with groceries or just want some aid carting knick-knacks around. Word to the wise...take our advise and cut out some cardboard & tape it to the bottom so your items don't fall through the holes :-) SUPER RECOMMEND!

Sturdy Cart - Perfect for High Rise
9/13/2010

I live in a high rise with a detached parking garage. I go from the 4 th floor by elevatar to the ground floor, take the covered walkway to the main building and then the elevator to my 8 th floor apartment. This is the perfect carrier for two twenty packs of bottled beer and I have carried three. Three seemed to be taxing the cart and made the handling difficult, but it did seem no worse for wear. It is deep and wide. When I had lived in a similar high rise the first cart I had broke in two weeks - could not handle the weight. The second one lasted for a year and a half. This is my third cart and this is by far the sturdiest.

I bought this cart as a laundry cart for a daughter in an apartment with a separate laundry facility. I researched the cart online on a number of sites. This search highlighted a problem with the wheels falling off. I bought from Walmart hoping their purchasers were savvy. When the cart arrived I saw the problem at once. The wheels were to be held on by ridiculously small thin cotter pins that would break at once and certainly could not take the weight of 150 lbs as advertised. I went to HD and bought longer and stronger cotter pins and metal end caps that are hammered on. Hopefully the problem is solved. The cart looks fine now.

simply the best; i did much research for every cart out there, and though this one was slightly pricey, it is worth every dime and more. it was easy to put together and is heavy duty-can hold up to 150 pounds! plus, it's huge, and holds several bags of laundry. it's very easy to maneuver, too. i know it will last a lifetime and i'll get a lot of use out of it, and already have. thanks for a stellar product. a wise purchase, indeed!

We bought this because it was rated at 150 lbs. The cotter pins, etc., supplied with this were horribly under rated for this item, even though assembly was a snap. No tools required as I was able to bend the cotter pins over with my acrylic nails without breaking one! The first time we used it to haul a 42 lb sack of kitty litter and a 25 lb sack of cat food, the rear wheels came apart and I had to replace them. (Cheap wheels with plastic bushings that push into each side) After 6 months, the top part of the handle broke off and it was fed to the dumpster. Good concept, shoddy workmanship and poor quality materials. Too big to fit easily on to AC Transit buses, especially some of their Van Hools.

  • A. No, the handle does not adjust but I found it simple enough to just pull the basket on the rear two wheels at a height that was comfortable to me. Even loaded with groceries, the basket did not tip too far towards the ground as I pulled.

  • A. The wheels do not swivel. They have springs that brace them on their axels to help over bumps. The cart would turn if you angle back on the larger rear wheels. I bought this cart as the wheels seemed to be the best size for the job.

  • A. All 4 wheels do turn but they don't swivel...and I mean that they just go straight. If you want to turn right, then you need to help physically move the cart to the right because the wheels won't automatically turn on their own.
