    Good Umbrella for the price

When I pulled the umbrella out of the box and felt how thin the material was, I didn't think it would last a day in the rain. But it has proven otherwise. We bought the mainstays base to go with this umbrella and both work fine and serve their purpose. The umbrella is really nice looking (I bought the cream color because tan was sold out) and also very large. Constructed well and only took about 10 minutes total to put together. Goes well with our other outdoor furniture- does not look cheap. The material seems thin but it has withstood rain, wind, and leaves. Have had it for 3 weeks now and no problems. Would recommend to anyone who wants a decent umbrella on a budget!

    I love it!

It's going to be great once the base gets here soon. The umbrella is HUGE and covers a wide area and I like the fact that I can swivel the umbrella without moving the base. I wanted a different color, but the other colors were out of my price range. I recommend this to anyone with too much sun on their patio.

I would buy this product again

Very nice umbrella for the price. Easy to put together. I like the clicking with the crank so you know it's opening. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great for the price, but won't last.

This is a good umbrella and style, good price too, but I'm now on my third one. The problem is the rope breaks from rubbing on any of the metal surfaces it touches in breezy or windy weather, causing the rope to get cut and fray and then break rendering the umbrella now useless. I think it needs some sort of rubber washers around all the area's the rope touches or perhaps a stronger or sturdier rope or perhaps small cable wire instead of the rope. When my first one broke I tried to see if I could extend the remaining rope and reattach it, but there is only enough rope for the first installation assembly. When the second one broke for the same reason I began to think on the third one now ordered that I will try some black electrical tape to cover all the areas the rope can rub on and touch to prevent the cutting of the rope some, but if that doesn't work then I won't be ordering a fourth one. The third one now ordered will only go up when I'm using it and won't go up in any breezy or windy weather, I'd like to get a full summer out of at least one of these. Geez...

    Great quality for the price.

I was hesitant to purchase this as it almost seemed like too good of a deal compared to other offset umbrellas, but I'm a cheapskate, so I went for it. I am so happy I did. It is large and substantial, and all the moving parts work well. The assembly is minor but figuring out the directions was a bit tough for this first-timer; working with another person, I got it up in about 30 minutes. Two tips: First, you have to raise the height on the arm all the way before opening the umbrella, and after that you can lower it again to tilt the umbrella. Second, BUY the separate offset umbrella base to anchor this thing down!
