Works Great

Hopefully Vulcan won't jinx me when I report I've had this torch for more than a decade and it's still going strong. I like: screws onto any standard propane tank, short & fat or tall & skinny integrated ignitor is both convenient and reliable simple controls: crack it open, light 'er up fat hand grip is both pleasingly ergonomic and lessens the tendency to grab onto the conveniently skinny, but hot metal part of a torch Having such a convenient torch around makes me find all sorts of novel uses for my propane torch. Don't try any of these if you aren't a professional &/or trained & have an extinguisher handy, but I know from personal experience: Spiders hate fire & their webs are so flammable they leave little trace when ignited. Similarly, many insect pests can be eliminated without insecticides. Many paints and finishes don't need to be removed with noxious chemicals and will slough or peel right off when heated. Weeds hate fire and carbon is more natural than pesticides. Hot-glue doesn't necessarily need to by applied with a hot-glue gun. Those shipping labels on almost all products purchased on-line are printed using heat-sensitive paper & can be completely obscured for box re-use when heated appropriately. Stuck metal parts, fasteners, & fittings can often be quickly un-stuck when heat is applied. Heat-shrink tubing shrinks no matter the heat-source so long as it's hot enough, but not too hot, and applied carefully. Roots left-over by tree removal can sometimes be removed non-mechanically if burned. Many product labels are affixed using heated glue. BBQ time can be reduced if steak is pre-seared properly. Wood-burned art can be beautiful if you're artistic. Glass can be reshaped if desired depending upon the type. Hardened steel tools can be fashioned at home with enough heat & the right quenching. I could go on and on about other uses I've found, & I keep finding new ones. Having a ready source, I now think I know why man invented fire first.
