I originally purchased the Jackery 550 as a backup to my existing 5,000W gas generator. I decided to purchase this as a layer of protection in case there was a fuel shortage, or in case there was inflation and I could not afford to buy fuel. I also wanted something "Renewable," because I can use my SolarSaga 100W Solar Panel to recharge it. Also, while my gas generator is technically "portable," the Jackery is far more portable. It's also better at night as it doesn't annoy the neighbors (or myself). However, the thing I did NOT know when purchasing the Jackery was how much I would love using it! I used the Jackery for running my section of my town's "Haunted Trail," as well as our annual Halloween Festival. I used it to power a large stereo (it's difficult to see, but it's under the table in my picture). The speaker has lights on it that shined through the black Halloween fabric at the bottom of the table. I also used the Jackery to power a fog machine, as well as other lighting, while charging my phones and using my iPhone to "DJ" for the event. I plan to purchase a larger unit in the future and next year have TWO Jackery units so that I can expand my setup and create a more elaborate display. So while the unit is not visible in this photo, it was being used for Music, Fog, Lights, Recharging iPhones, and more. It would also be great for Birthday Parties, Christmas Celebrations, Summer (Beach/Lake) Activities, and much more. So while I thought I was getting this for a home backup, it's proven to be far more useful than I originally intended. Also, just for the record, this thing powered my 42" 1080p HDTV, PS4 PRO (while playing Mortal Kombat 11), a lamp, and two box fans for a good deal of time. I am very impressed at the versatility as well as the ease-of-use of this product. It is very intuitive and it's super easy to use. You do not have to be an "Electrician" or "IT Professional" to use this product. Jackery has made it incredibly simple and fun! (:

Meets our needs for a portable intermittment AC Power supply for emergency use and light continuous loads, ie. less than 50 W for 24 hr. power outages. Intermittent loads =less than: -100 W, 20% duty cycle over a 24 hour period. -400 W, 10% duty cycle over a 24 hour period. -600 W. 5% duty cycle over a 24 hour period. Just as important, seems to a good quality battery. Self discharge rate is less than 2% / month stored indoors at 65-75 deg F. so it is readily available for use as needed if charge condition checked monthly. Important for medical devices. Summary: all around good product, meets our needs for an emergency AC power source to supplement , but not replace a portable gas generator especially if our cached without the solar panels. 4.9 star rating A suggestion: the AC power charging power supply should be integral with the unit. It would be more convenient to have it more readily available as needed rather than loosely contained in a separate bag that can become separated from the unit. The additional weight is not significant and one of your competitors already has this features. I plan to Velcro the “Power Snake�?to the unit as a crude solution to keep it from �?wandering�?away from the unit.

Our Jackery 880 & solar panels saved our lives and helped me complete my education. I am a survivor of domestic violence and have been homeless despite a college education, and I have been living minimally for the past several years. Last year, with a workplace injury compensation settlement, I purchased a Jackery 880 to travel across the country and back with my partner to assist my daughter in her challenges through the domestic violence situation. I was finishing my Bachelors degree and beginning my Masters in mental health administration while living in a van with my partner. Our Jackery helped me finish school on time and always powered everything we needed at the time we needed it. The solar panels worked great, and it all traveled wonderfully, and as well as charging super fast and holding its charge! Thank you again for an amazing product!
