robert - 5 out of 5 stars review2/28/2023I have a writing tool called a Neo2. Dandy little keyboard device, runs on three AA batteries. You can't buy them new, they were discontinued years ago. The negative battery terminal snapped off on mine. I shimmed it for a while which worked, but I knew I'd have to apply a permanent fix at some point. That point arrived this past weekend, when every time my device got moved, it would lose power. The solution, of course, was J-B Weld. Mind you, my fix looks more like mud daubing, but hey, it works, it's solid, and now I can write with my Neo again.

Even though I misread the cure time to be the 4-6 hour set time it still took a while before the adhesive showed signs of melting from the 200C wire in the toaster. After realizing my mistake I tried it again and it was night and day the difference. Was still unaffected after 5 minutes of hot nichrome wiring though did produce a disgusting burning smell while heating which just amazes me on the heat resistance. One down side I found while using it is that it is extremely brittle once cured so after a while (without heat) the crudely bent nichrome wires would pop out. This was solved by just applying more.
