Best Christmas Present Ever
When I found out WalMart carried Wacom tablets, I had to have one. They are slightly cheaper than other places and this is actually cheaper than Wacom's own listed price! I was so excited to get it and it's amazing. Set up was quick and simple, simplest set up process I've ever had to go through! The included programs are great and using the pen is easy. I do wish there was a little more "inactive" space for when I'm trying to draw, but I can't really complain about that since I did pick up the Pen & Touch version. The active surface has an interesting texture that creates a slight amount of "drag," a little resistance to the pen on the surface so it feels more natural when you draw and write. You won't immediately go sliding when you put pressure on the pen while drawing, a big difference from the old Bamboos that had a smoother surface apparently. I love it for photo editing, it's made my life so much easier. Less time consuming to edit photos and less hand-cramps since I don't have to mess with a mouse anymore. If you're looking for a nice tablet that's affordable with touch capabilities, pick this up. Seriously.
Wacom Pen and Touch
Love it from the first moment, using wacom for almost 15 years , I like that the full surface is a touch so you can save more your nibs and use your fingers to navigate in Windows with the touch gestures , if you don;t have touch screen it is a great plus , did not know about when purchased as I needed just new wacom pen so that was nice surprise , also 4 buttons that can be adjusted as shortcuts the set include also 5 nibs and can be used as wireless with the addition kit ( not included ) I purchased the small one but it is big enough for regular desk , you can also navigate your windows on your TV using the tablet and wireless kit so very cool no keyboard or mouse needed and is more healthy for your arm and shoulder than regular mouse , nice deal and fast shipping!! from me 5 stars
A Great Deal!
The Wacom Intuos Pen and Touch small Tablet is a fantastic addition to my system. It adds great versatility to my Photography Hobby and allows me to work smoother and faster in many applications. Plus, I like to draw, and this gives me the ability that a mouse just doesn't give you. The 'Touch' feature is nice too, as long as your software supports it. Installation is simple and you can set up the buttons to do what you want. Get the Wireless kit. Unfortunately Walmart doesn't carry it yet.
Another Solid Tablet by Wacom!
This tablet not only works as advertised, the quality and functionality of the product overall is fantastic! It looks even better in person to boot. I don't feel limited by the Small size at all, it perfectly maps to my wide screen, letting me touch virtually any pixel of it with ease. The smooth surface even makes a better touchpad (When guiding it with a finger.) than the one embedded into my laptop. The Pen and Touch tablet is very easy to use and install, I was making full-blown drawings with it within hours of playing around with it in Gimp. (Every art program I've tried it with likes this tablet!) I would recommend this to anyone starting out in digital art, the only limit is your imagination, and if you need more features, such as pen tilt, there's always the Intuos Pro line as well. The only thing I had to watch out for was the pen nib included with the tablet. Hard presses or quick strikes will wear down the rubber pen tip quickly, but I tend to lightly etch everything in, so it hasn't visibly changed in wear for a whole week of heavy usage! Generally pen nibs last a very long time, sometimes a whole year if you're careful. Wacom also sell spare nibs directly through their website fairly cheaply, ($5) encase you worry about wearing yours down from extensive use, so keep some spares ordered to be on the safe side. (It's a wonder spares were not bundled with the tablet itself.) Another reminder to always be gentle with your electronics, if you want them to last. Overall, this is a great, quality tablet, and I'm so happy to finally have one after making digital art by mouse for nearly two years. Wacom is the brand sworn by for most artists around the world, and I can see why now that I own one myself.
Works great and is able to do everything that I need it for. I am learning to do digital painting and it can also be used for sculpting in 3d. I would recommend this product to advanced and novice users. It is easy to install and has an installation CD packaged with it. You can also download the firmware needed on their website. Shipping was fast and product was packaged very well.
The Actual Thing!!!
I purchased it on November 14 and hoped it wasn't a rip off. Few dollars less than the real thing so I thought "This might just save me some money. " So I order then researched the actual thing. Once it got here, I don't know how but Wal-Mart has connections with Wacom!!! I was so happy to see that this product came in the actual box it was suppose to come in! I works completely well and the only problem is that it doesn't not come with the wireless kit, unless my no good sister messed with my stuff, and the exchangeable nibs are on the inside of the tablet were you WOULD change the batteries IF it had any.
Great gift idea
The Wacom Induos drawing tablet was one of the best Christmas presents our daughter has received in years. At thirteen, she is very unpredictable in her " likes and dislikes" and has been for the past several years. My husband and I picked a winner with this gift. Among her other talents she is a budding artist, and has not put down this tablet since she opened it. Christmas was 6 days ago, morning and night she is at work drawing, and we see no signs of her losing interest. For our daughter ( and the parents) this is a great product.
happy so far
Tablet works great. Tried using manga without it and that is n o t great. Still doing tutorials now but I couldn't even do that much without this. I see it is available without touch and I would not recommend that, the touch is very useful to use this as a touch pad instead of the smaller touchpad on the pc.
Its not bad of that a product, I think it just takes time to learn how to get use to using it, I recommend buying a small tablet like this one if u don't use a lot of space and it didn't take that long to ship, it's pretty neat. I reccomed to buy this tablet .
