I was skeptical but knew that we were in for a long, hot summer in the Carolinas, so I rolled the dice on around $200. We have only had the pool up for a couple of days but feel that the gamble has paid off. Kudos also to WalMart for delivering it a day early. The product quality seems very good, and setup was very, very easy. I also purchased an Intex vacuum/skimmer combo locally, and was again impressed with the quality and simplicity of the product. The company really did their homework and is putting out a what appears to be a reliable, affordable line of summer recreational products. My wife and I had it ready for water in less than an hour, and we were cooling off less than 24 hours later.- just big enough to paddle around and dunk my head. It's amazing how little water one needs to get relief from the heat. I even get a good bit of exercise by swimming circular laps. A couple of heads-ups: You'll have to spend a few more $ on a vacuum & skimmer (Intex combo about $20), and pool chemicals, and possibly some bags of playsand for prepping the setup site. But because you're only dealing with about 3900 gallons, cost and daily maintenance are minimal. Someone also mentioned that the actual water level is less than the advertized height because of the inflated ring on top. I have found this to be true by about 6". Finally, I would not recommend this for larger kids who like to rough-house. I get the feeling that because it does not have a framework, it might not survive cannonballs and games of chicken. If you are just looking to cool off with a few friends, I highly recommend this product. Enjoy your summer.
