I bought a cheap banjo for practice
Inowing you get what you pay for, The banjo looks the part of quality, but is far from it. I had to disassemble it to tighten the neck to the head. It was a task as the studs that hold the resonator on spun as the thumb screws were loosened. After finally getting it apart with no damage, the four studs were glued and the neck secured. This allowed tuning.
