    • A. Not unless you loosen the bolts and add 3-4 inches of height at the back end under the two little legs and then tighten the bolts again. I used two stacked pieces of lumber because it's sturdy.

    • A. No, there is always going to be some degree of incline because it is a manual treadmill and would be difficult to walk on with a flat surface with out the aid of gravity. I suggest getting a motorized treadmill if you are concerned with walking on an incline. For this particular model you have two settings for incline but no option to make the walking surface flat.

    • A. I think it need to be inclined, because it's manual, not motor driven. Belt is moving because you're pushing backward with your feet. Without any inclining angle, it would be more difficult to use it. I don't think it's impossible. Maybe you can push treading belt backward while you're holding handlebar with your hand. It could help. I never used it without angle. I could try, though, later. I think it's possible on flat; you can loose tightening screws a little for easier movement of belt.

    • A. This treadmill is a manual only, the board is slanted. An electric device usually has a board that is flat and you can adjust the speed to allow you to run without hanging onto the handles. It is possible to sort of move quickly on this treadmill to simulate running, but don't let go of the handgrips, or you could wind up flat on your face

    • A. I've not ran on it, as the pressure between your foot and the base is the way you move the belt. Too much pressure and you stick to the base stopping the belt. Hope that helps.

    • A. Incline is high enough that it takes very little push to make the belt turn. My 6 year old likes to run on it and never seems to be struggling to get the belt rolling. The tension is easy to adjust. So if you feel it's taking to much push off just to get moving, loosening up the belt would be the best fix.

    • A. Hold on to the handle bars and walk. How far forward you lean will make it go faster. For slower just stand as straight as you can. Yes you have to walk to make the belt move. There is no expensive mechanism inside to make the belt move by itself. It weighs 52 pounds. Easy to slide around once set up. But the box is heavy to begin with. Have someone help you with set up. Only takes 1/2 hour. Easy if you are strong.

    • A. Yes, on manual you're making belt to move. I used to use motorized one in gym for 2+ decades of years. I was a little hesitant because of that manual issue, too. But, I got used to manual now. It took me about 3 weeks to get used to manual. Manual may be slightly more difficult on maintaining constant speed, but it give you better workout, more vigorous exercise. Incline angle makes you easier to push belt to get it moving.

I am 64 and wanted something that would strengthen my legs and give a little cardio, and this is perfect for that. I have had a regular treadmill, and they are too big and too loud. This one is small and quiet. Plus, I think the manual treadmill gives a more natural simulation of walking. It was very easy to put together, and I have found the belt to be fairly smooth. Yes, it isn't like an electric one, but it's not supposed to be. I am only 5' 1", but my husband is 6 ft, and it is a little small built for him. He is hunched over when holding the handlebars, so it kind of hurts his back. But it's perfect for me! The first one I got, the fitness meter didn't work. I called customer support and they were very nice, but told me the parts I needed were on backorder for at least two weeks. They suggested I just order a new one and return the defective one, which I did. Walmart is the best for returning stuff! So, if you are looking for something to just get you moving and replace walking outside, this one is great!

Initially I had purchased a fancy motorized treadmill from another store, but after struggling to put it together I found that it was cracked in several places, it was difficult to use, and I couldn't adjust the handrail. I ended up returning it after a week. After reading many reviews I decided that a basic manual treadmill would be sufficient for my needs. I ordered this for "site-to-store" delivery and I'm not disappointed. First the packing was better than the more expensive motorized, it was very easy for me to put together by myself, and it feels solid enough for my use. I am a small person (at 5 ft. tall) and while the handrail on this model can't be adjusted, it is at the perfect height for me. I also put 2x4's down to reduce the incline and it works perfect for me. All I wanted was to get a treadmill so that I could walk for a half hour - hour everyday after work and the InMotion T900 helps me do just that.

It's a little rough at first, stiff and needs adjustments. But don't give up. (I'm just out of shape.) It takes a few uses to get it just right, then it becomes smoother and easier to walk on. It's a good item for the price. Been using it for two weeks ten minutes a day and already notice better flexibility. My goal is to strengthen my muscles and lose a little weight. With consistent use and gradually increasing my time on the treadmill, I feel this treadmill will do the trick. The only thing that maybe could have been different is the direction it's facing when you grab it to roll it out of the way. Feels backwards to me. I tend to want to grab the bars. The other side makes it cumbersome because the meter gets in the way. That's my only complaint.

Dead on Arrival :( First impression trying to walk on it, very dangerous! I tried walking on it for 30 min maybe it needed some warming up. I was thinking maybe the belt needs some lubrication . Doesnt include batteries. Got batteries and still the digital part still doesnt work. When you purchase something you just want to use it, and have it work. Bad experience :(
