Apprears to be an excellent value for the price

My mother lives in assisted living in a small town and needed a new compact fridge with a good freezer, as she loves her ice cream. This appeared to be a good choice, given the features, price, and free shipping. A 2-door model seemed to be the best option for a good, effective freezer. The Igloo arrived a week ahead of the estimated date. It's been in place for a week now. Both the freezer and fridge are quite roomy for a compact. The freezer will keep ice cream hard as a rock if desired. My only disappointment is a large dent/crease at the rear left corner of the fridge. The shipping box was in perfect shape, so it was obviously damaged before it went into the box. Since it appears to be working fine and doing its job, and given its weight (about 70 lbs) and the distance I'd need to haul it to return it, then wait for another one, we've decided to put up with the dent and hope it has no negative effect on the functioning & lifespan of the fridge. All in all, I'd call it an excellent fridge and an excellent value. We are just disappointed that WalMart would ship an obviously damaged item.

Received damaged

I can't rate honestly the way the product performs yet as I just received it. It was intact but a couple corners ripped when I got it from Fed Ex. Once opened the side had a big dent, the back lower area has screw holes as if a cover would go over it yet no cover enclosed. I wanted to change the orientation of how the doors open but the hole covers don't fir if you do! Just like my Fridgidare Dryer! So I am stuck.

Nice but very fragile
by -
The good: It is very quiet. I have it near my bed and can barely hear it run. The two doors keep the frozen stuff frozen and the refrigerated stuff cold but not frozen. There is a surprising amount of room in both sections. Power consumption is very little, on the order of 96 watts when running. The interior light in the refrigerated section makes finding stuff easy. The bad: The cabinet is made from VERY thin sheet metal, you can bend it with your bare hand and it is the main part of the structure. When I received my unit, the package was not damaged on the outside, but the unit had been dropped at some point and the bottom was bent. I needed the refrigerator so just bent it as straight as I could by hand and didn't bother trying to get a replacement. This thing is so fragile that I would be surprised if anyone could get one delivered that was perfect, which is too bad because otherwise, I like it.

This would be a near perfect purchase if the doors were aligned better but I had low expectations to begin with, so now I'm ecstatic. It fits perfectly where I put it, it looks nice, neighbors asked for info when I was bring it home ("Ooooo I need that!" kind of thing), and it was much better than the other one I got and took back to Target. The shelves look great and everything. My only concern is the amount of heat that the (compressor?) puts out. I need to add better ventilation to the built-in cabinets its sits in...since this product is not intended to be a built-in anyway. I'm very happy.

Great little fridge
by -
 Verified purchaser
I've had it about two weeks now, and it works just great. I have all my frozen meals in the top part. It can actually hold two bags of ice. That's a lot of space. Below, I can fit a size pack of soda in the door and a half gallon of milk and another of OJ. The drawer is small, but I'm able to fit a bag of salad, a bunch of grapes and several apples. I got a small tupperware container that I keep our lunch meats and cheese in, and put that on the middle shelf along with pickles, olives, any fresh foods like steak or chicken and any veggies that we are going to cook. On the top shelf I have containers like sour cream, cottage cheese, yogurt, juice boxes, eggs, leftovers pizza, etc,. It's really roomier and deeper than the usual mini fridge. For a family, it's way too small, but I'm using this little fridge for me and my 6 year old, and I'm able to keep about 3 to 4 days worth of fresh foods in the freezer, about 2 frozen pizzas, an ice tray, ice cream, and 10 or so Lean Cuisines.

Great product
by -
 Verified purchaser
I was slightly skeptical after reading reviews and so many reviews about receiving a damaged fridge. So we could inspect it before we took delivery, we opted for ship to store. I also purchased the two year extended warranty which was pretty cheap since people also talked about their fridge going out just after the 90 day warranty ran out. I "covered all my bases" so to speak. And it really paid off. The fridge arrived at our local small town store a week before expected. My husband checked it out before bringing it home and it was in pristine condition! It's working great....we just have to figure out the best setting. We left it on the recommended setting and my water is frozen. The ice I put on the separate freezer is doing great. I got the model with the separate freezer because in traveling and staying in hotels I've never found a combined one door refrigerator/freezer that would actually keep anything frozen. I can honestly say that this is a great product at a good price with no problems!

Literally...A kitchen "mini me"!
by -
 Verified purchaser
Purchased this for our son on his Birthday, so he could take it with him to AWANA Honors Camp. After searching stores and viewing various sites, we decided on this one. I always hated those awful hotel refrigerators because their "freezer" space was cheap and NEVER kept anything frozen, so when I saw THIS design, and the capacity, I ordered it! Easy enough for me to carry into his room, not a "piece of cake", but no complaints about its weight when needing it to travel. Keeps his Oreo Klondike bars cold, and has tons of room in the non-frozen portion for his glass coke bottles, half gallon orange juice, and we even managed to fit his Easter basket inside, after pulling out one of the shelves. If our 'fridge goes out, we're using his, 'till the new one comes! :)

Quiet, even cooling - Highly recommended!
by -
 Verified purchaser
This is an excellent mini refrigerator. Having a separate door for the freezer, as opposed to a small freezer compartment located within the refrigerator, is why I chose this item over the numerous other mini refrigerators offered by Wal-Mart. I was especially pleased with the even, consistent cooling; food stays about the same temperature regardless of its position on the top or bottom shelves, or on the door. This strength, coupled with extremely quiet operation, makes for a great unit which I'm pleased to recommend. One thing to note... As with most small refrigerators, the power cord is somewhat short, perhaps only three or four feet in length. Whereas most full-sized fridges are located directly in front of an electrical outlet, that's not always the case with a mini. You might consider purchasing a short grounded extension cord when you buy the product.

Great Product

I bought about 15 of these fridges in the last several months for a business I own. When they're shipped on the Walmart truck to the local Walmart, they arrive in good shape. Last time I ordered 5, followed by an order of 6. They were shipped via FedEx to my local Walmart. Many of the fridges had minor dents along the edges. Fridges worked good, but there was minor damage. If you ship them directly to your home via Fed Ex, there will be a corner crushed/damaged because someone dropped the fridge. (the first time I ordered 2 fridges and had to send both of them back) Great item, make sure they're shipped via the Walmart truck to the local Walmart store in your area.
