I'm a bean burrito fan and have never quite found the canned refried beans to give you the kind of burrito you get at all the taco shops so I tried these and I'm so glad I found them! They give the softer, but not so thick refried bean experience that I'd only been able to get at a restaurant. Yum!
When I found out Taco Bell uses dehydrated (instant) decried beans, I searched and finally bought these. I add a little garlic and onion powder and more water than they say...cook them for twenty minutes and the make great bean burritos!!! They don't have the metallic taste that canned refried beans. I add them to a tortilla with a sprinkle of cheddar, delicious! Just warm in the microwave for 15 seconds and make sure you fold one end before rolling. Delicious
I had used type of product before. Then disappeared from grocery store shelves. When I started looking on line, I found the products for a reasonable price but the $5.00+ shipping was a deal breaker.
I like this product because I can make just the amount I want for one meal. Much easier to store the dry package for next time. I can also add seasoning in the water before I add the beans, so the flavor gets into the beans.
