These are absolutely my
These are absolutely my favorite canned brand of plum tomatoes. I make lots of different pasta sauces and stews with these tomatoes. They're the closest I can find to home canned tomatoes. Delicious, with a wonderful bright flavor, they're perfect and stews, chilies, sauces and soups.

Still had skin on 3/4 of the tomatoes in the can
I buy Hunt's brand tomato products because I know I'm getting a quality tomato product. The last 2 cans of whole peeled tomatoes still had skin, and hard cores, on 3/4 of the tomatoes in the cans. I of course dumped them into the cooking pot. Only to have to fish them back out to peel and core most of the tomatoes. I have another can still in my cupboard. I hope it's not the same. The tomatoes themselves are usually very good, consistently ripe and large.

    Hunts Tomatoes are the BEST!
    These tomatoes are about the best of any brand. I special order restaurant tomatoes for an occasional treat because they are even better. Tomato flavor is the key to many recipes like Salsa, Pizza, and Spaghetti. I've tried ever brand of tomato in search of the best flavor. This Hunts brand gets you close to restaurant flavor. They must just a decent amount of Citric Acid in canning -- which helps to lock in strong, tart tomato flavor. Plus, Walmart sells Hunts for a consumer friendly price. (BTW...they are waaaay better than the Great Value brand.)

    I and not into hard chunks of tomatoes. but whole tomatoes I love. I cut the hard ends off and chop em or blend them for recipes. I love tomato seeds in my recipes. These make chunks of tomatoes like a shred that are tender and good. Been using this for 40 years as my mom used these when I was growing up as well.
