so far so good. moves my 250lbs without a struggle. larger than I expected. no exposed wires is a definite plus. bought the 3 year insurance just in case as have burned out two more expensive swaggertrons. airless tires a plus, no flats. a persistent problem with my old boards.

I really don't know what happened to the scooter that "billy" purchased, but just got mine over the weekend and the Hover-1 Eagle has been working exactly as promised. I wanted an electric scooter to ride around school and this more than fits the bill. At 21 lbs, this is definitely not a toy for small children. The sturdy frame carries this 210 lbs individual without any sign of stress on the scooter. Given the folding design, the scooter can easily be folded and carried into the lecture halls. There are 2 modes for speed, Eco (P1) and Performance (P2). Eco goes up to 10 mph and will ensure reaching the 7 miles range on a full charge. Performance mode allows you to hit the max speed of 15 mph (shown in photo 1) at full throttle. I guess "billy" must have not read the quick start guide (shown in photo 2) to switch from P1 to P2. The battery life has been good enough to last through the whole day riding around campus. The only annoying part is the automatic cruise control; you really have to be careful that it comes on by itself after 3 seconds of steady speed, and the scooter will keep going unless the electric brake has been activated. I've definitely been catching a lot of attention the last couple days riding this scooter around campus. I've literally picked up the last one at the store, and at $200, I can totally imagine this thing selling like hot cakes... Unless you're "billy".
septics, worry not
this is the best 200.00 you can spend for a scooter! it has lived up to the hype! not only does the variable speed modes worth exactly as stated... but the LED lights are a wonderful feature! it goes 15MPH and when with the wind, one of my sons got the speed too 16. he is 5'10, 225 lb and loved riding it! all of the kids did. it's fast, stops great. strong, durable and would HIGHLY recommend this e scooter to everybody! enjoy. FYI, the other review seemed to be referencing another type of scooter. additionally, I purchased mine in the store. not only did I have the pleasure of picking it out, opening it up in the styrofoam and filling out the warranty information... but the people at the Walmart were so pleasant and helpful. thanks Walmart!
Best scooter hands down under $200!
I am 5â11â and weigh 240 lbs. The scooter goes up to the 15 max no problem. This was a blast. Especially for the $200 price. The scooter is much bigger than what I thought it would be. I also got the $300 gotrax glx/rival because i thought the inflatable tires would be better curbs but it made little difference for the extra $100.
Great product, everything described by Hover-1 was very accurate.
i got this scooter about a month ago. i got mine from walmart only bad thing that i can say is i didn't have the instruction manual or warranty card, but over all it's a good scooter. cruise control works but i think its more if a double tap because i held it for 10 sec and it didn't come on, but when i double tap it works.. range is about 5 to 6 miles on gear 1 gear 2 maybe 3.5 to 4 miles ride is bumpy because of solid tires small suspension spring on front .. just bend your knees and avoid large pot holes and ride!!!
would buy again
great scooter! cruise control, batter last a at least an hour if not more. speed is good. can go up hill. only problem is the side reflector comes off too easy. both have broken off. big big problem if you do not catch in time because one side of the reflector cover, covers the power cable to the wheel. by the time I caught it on my son scooter the rubber insulation had rubbed off but not yet to the wires. if I had not noticed the power cables would be sheared off by rubbing. my son is a rough rider. so I ended up wrapping the power cable several times with electrical tape. over would buy again. charges pretty fast.
BAD SCOOTER DONT YOU MONEY ON THIS OR THE COMPANY
This is my second time buying a hover 1 scooter and it has been very bad everytime. First was the electronic brake was stuck on now its a defective motherboard that needs to be replace that FACTORY WARANTY DOES NOT COVER AND COST $40 FOR IT. I do not recommend this brand to anyone at all they dont stand behind their products. (I also just got this scooter too and ill be returning it in less then three days of use)
Poor quality. Company will not stand behind produc
Bought this item for my daughter as a Christmas gift. We were so pleased at first and it brought so much joy to her for the first few times she was able to use it. Since we live in Ohio, there were not a lot of days between Christmas and early March and therefore, very few hours of runtime for this scooter. Despite being practically brand new, barely broken in, the scooter completely locked up one day while riding. This was around March 23rd. The motor is ceased up and the scooter cannot be used at all, even as a manual push scooter. I reached out to the company on March 29th to request help/service. I was asked to supply them with sales receipt and other information about a week later. Once I supplied the required information, they got back with me about a week later telling me that the scooter was out of warranty and that they would not stand behind it. I have asked them to stand behind their product and informed them that if they didn't, I would escalate to the better business bureau.
Don't waste your money!!!
We bought this scooter for my 11 year old son. Luckily we bought the insurance. It worked great for 1 week, then the brake gear gave out. We returned it to get another one. After 2 days with the new one, the motor gave out. We got another one, then that scooter gave out also. We kept returning since we bought the insurance, plus my son enjoyed for the few times he rode it. Finally decided to go with another brand... customer service is horrible also.......3 scooters in one month.... waste of time and money.
