Memories of a good past time.
Happy to decide to locate an umbrella clothes line. It has been years since I used one and I forgot how great it was to go to bed on fresh outdoor dried sheets. Very easy to install and appears that when we take it down when the cold weather gets here, it will be easy to put up for the winter. Happy not using the dryer unless I have to and the savings on the utility bill will pay for the clothes line in less than one months bill. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to save money and loves the smell of fresh outdoor dried clothing.

    No confidence this will last.
I bought this dryer to replace my 5 year-old dryer that broke in the wind. It's called a Carousel, but a carousel spins, this does NOT. My wife has to carry the laundry around all four sides of this dryer to hang clothes because it does not 'carousel' around to make hanging easier. Add to that the weak plastic parts and flimsy aluminum rivets holding it all together, and I'm betting this thing will fail in less than six months. I'll be shocked if it doesn't. Had I not already cut the lower tubing to make it's height lower and accessible to my 5'7" wife, I'd be taking this dryer back to Walmart. Should have bought the model I am replacing.

    Go Green and Save Money

I just love this item! I live in a apartment complex and did not want to pay to use the washer/dryers. I have a 5x10 patio that I set it up on. I had to get crafty...I bought a 5 gal steel pail (at Walmart in the painting section) bought 50 lb bag of cement(quick set) 2 ft of PVC pipe and set it in the pail with cement (I wanted to save the piping that comes with the line for later use) let it set for 7 hrs. I then washed 3 loads of laundry hung it out and still had space for more on the line. I love going green...the line will pay for itself very soon...and the best thing is my clothes/sheets smell great! Could life get any sweeter...Save Mother Earth...Go Green!

    Great Clothesline

I got this clothesline to replace one like it that lasted for about 6 to 8 years. This was on sale. It arrived very quickly. I followed directions and put it up in the back yard. We have put several loads of wash on it and it works perfect.

does what its supposed to do.

Arrived very fast (approx 3 days) which is always with Walmart. Good price value. Could be made of little bit more sturdy metal.

    Great outdoor drying rack

This was a replacement outdoor clothes drying rack that was 30 years old and rusting. The greatest feature this drying rack has is the lines go up at an angle which means you don't knock your head into the lines as your hanging clothes. There is plenty of room for lots of items. Car primarily use it for drying towels, bathing suits, life jackets, etc. as we are near the water. It saves lots of power from not having to dry inside. The other thing it does which I was surprised at was it spins around when the wind catches it win the clothing hanging on it. This helps with the drying process too. I would definitely recommend this drying rack to anyone.

    Lowered electric cost

After receiving an outrageous power bill started looking for ways to use less energy. This clothes dryer fit the bill. It takes up a very small footprint in the yard, can be removed after each use and stored. It spins so you are not picking up a heavy basket of wet clothes. The price was excellent. Very pleased with this purchase.

This replaced a broken umbrella clothes dryer that I had for many years. I never liked the old one for many reasons but this one is perfect...so glad that I took the chance and ordered it.

    Serves the purpose!

It has been raining since we put this up, but it looks like it will be just fine. The difference between this one and the one I had is, I will be able to remove the umbrella in the winter. It is a neat feature that the ground pipe has a flap that can be closed during the harsh winters that we have in northern NY., and the umbrella can be removed and folded away.

Umbrella Clothes Dryer -- Works as expected

We are older and always enjoy clothes dried in the sunshine and fresh air... This device does that well... Easy to set up (we used an outdoor umbrella base) and lots of line area. The dryer should be loaded a bit on each side and turned to avoid overloading one side and over turning the dryer. All-in-all, does what we want it to do so no complaints at all...

    1. The "pipe" does come with the item. I poured some "quik-crete" and then set mine in it. Has lasted several years!!
    by Happy538
    2. Everything you need is included. The piece that you cement into the groud is plastic with a lid. I used a patio table that holds an umbrella...works like a charm and no digging or cement.
    by DallasPanda
    3. yes and was very easy to put in ground and holds up great even through severe wind/thunderstorms recently, I love mine!

    6. It comes with everything you need to set it up. I would pick up a small bag of quick cement also. Just putting it in the dirt does not do well. Also find something to plug the hole at the bottom of the plastice piece before sticking it in the cement or it will not move for you any more. Hope this helps...

    7. Yes it is a greren plastic tube with cover that you should concrete in the ground to keep weight and wind from blowing it over when loaded
    by GrowlingBear
    8. It is supposed to but mine came without it. Mine sits 3 feet off the ground. And need to sit on the grass to hang clothes. And can't hang all my clothes. Not impressed at all!!

    by DallasPanda
    2. I am 5'7", didn't put the clothesline in the ground, set in picnic table, and I reach for the outer lines.
    by malyah
    3. this is so low to the ground. on the highest line she would have no problem. I am 5'4 and it is too short in my opinion.
    by family6ok
    4. I am 5'6" and hanging clothes on this unit is very easy
    by Cheerlov87
    5. My wife is 5'4" and has no trouble. You can always cut it down to a shorter length with a hacksaw.

    1. It does not have a stand. I put mind in the middle of a picnic table.
    by malyah
    2. The base is set flush into the ground, there is a flap to keep the dirt from covering. The stand and umbrella fold for storage. It is sturdy, easy to use and I love mine.
    by okiegirlzrule
    3. this unit requires an anchor, they are easy enough to fashion. a pipe 1.5" inside diameter is inserted into a 5 gallon pail of concrete and buried just below grade. an el or a tee on the bottom of said pipe will anchor it securely into the concrete. any competent plumber should be able to accomodate you at a reasonable price. take your pail & dryer pole along so he can fit it to the proper size pipe. maybe some scrap pieces of PVC pipe would work! then go hunting for a concrete truck and try to snag some concrete from from the driver!

    4. In the ground
    by maximillion10
    5. You have to install a sleeve into the ground using concrete
    by BlondeStreaks
    6. No stand, It fits in the ground in a hole with another pipe in the hole to put the clothes line in, Everything is included. I Love Mine
    by BeverlyJY
    7. There is a green plastic base that you cement into the ground. The umbrella has a primary pole and a secondary pole that can be removed for storage.
