I would say yes if it's about half full. If it's empty it will most likely fall over and if it's stuffed full, the bottom doesn't stay flat and will tumble over with a rounded bottom.

Yes it does stand on its won. Now this may sound corny but it does stand on its own but I put a old telephone book on the bottom of it and that book made it really stable although it didn't need it I just did it for added support. But it does stand alone again and that's surprising since it has no wire in it nowhere. Its really nice.

Yes, it stands on its own and that makes putting the laundry into it a lot easier than other totes that are not as well-constructed and sturdy as this tote.

Washing might make the seams fall apart, its not extremely durable. Maybe on delicate cycle?

I like this hamper for it is a good size to hold certain laundry items that I like to keep separate from the others. It is also really good when traveling as it can fold to a size that would fit in any suitcase especially if you are going to be out for more than a week. This unfolds to hold your dirty clothes until they can be washed again. The price is easy on the pocketbook and I would definitely get another one of these should I need on in the near or distant future.

It is the best Hamper

I bought several of these for sorting laundry in on laundry day. They will hold 2 loads, but you have to pack them down tight. Otherwise the hold a very large load. They fold up compactly when you don't need them and they can be stacked one inside the other. They are soft, but have enough structure to stand on their own. Something I did not know from reading the product description or reviews is that there is a built in mesh drawstring at the top so laundry does not fall out if you are transporting it. I have now used them twice and I love them. So glad I got them and worth what I paid!

Perfect for what I needed.

Love the design on this hamper. Very bright and cheery looking for the bathroom or a bedroom. Light weight and easily carried to washer and from dryer with the handles. It is a bit smaller than what I expected, but I am single, so it works well for me. Recommend highly!

Good Hamper

Holds a lot of dirty clothes and it's lightweight for moving around. Shape doesn't take up a lot of space.

These hampers are great because they are soft and easy to store when not in use. We have a large capacity washer and there is no way these hold two loads unless you have a tiny capacity washer.

i was expecting it to be a bit sturdier, it's more for use on the go, like college/dorm use. for home uses not very stable.

I was expecting a free-standing hamper as pictured. It will not stand erect until it is about half full. Considering it was only $10, it is still a good deal. It is well made.

Not as Expected

The measurements include the handle, the actual area to place laundry is very small. It is pictured standing but it will not stand on its own unless it is full of laundry. I am returning it to the store.
