My old $18 dryer was glitching and I knew death was imminent. I did some research. The only one that came up consistently in online reviews AND was less than $100 was this one. I have fine blonde hair. It has a ceramic heating element and is plenty hot to dry your hair without damage. It has a diffuser and concentrator. I got it < $60 and am happy with the results. Go for it!

Needs lower speed and smells terrible

I received this product free as a Spark reviewer in exchange for my unbiased opinion. First, this is a sharp looking hair dryer. It was packaged well. It has 3 speeds and 3 heat settings. It also has a button "cool shot" used to set a hairstyle. This hair dryer works fine as designed, but for me with my short, wavy, thin hair it was not the best product. I actually need a lower speed setting than this one contains as my hair dries very fast and in order to control what is happening, I need to slow the process down. For someone with long or thick hair -- or perhaps average hair of all types -- this would not be an issue.     GREAT Ceramic hairdryer! Finally replaced my hot tools Pro Signature with another! Had it for years! It was the hot pink one. Used it every day, dropped it more times than I can remember.     As a participant in the Sparks Review program sponsored by Walmart, I was excited to order this hair dryer. I have never before owned a hair dryer as elegant as the Hot Tools Signature Series Ionic Turbo DC Salon Hair Dryer, Black/Gold and it is as good as it sounds. I have used it to dry and style my hair several times now. There are three heat settings, there power settings and a cool air button. With that many combinations to choose from, one can use this hair dryer on any type of hair and any hair style. I have very fine and thin hair and it works very well for me. It took me a little experimenting to figure out the combination of settings that worked best for me, but now that I have that settled, it takes less time and effort to dry...
