Quiet humidifier
This warm mist Honeywell humidifier operates quietly in both modes because there is no fan. It soft boils water at the bottom of the mist tunnel and will raise the humidity level in a large room when set to max or will easily do a bedroom in low setting. The detachable tank is easy to carry to a sink for refills and the cap is easy to remove. The body comes apart in sections for easy cleaning all the way down to the heating electrodes that can be soaked with white vinegar to remove calcium deposits. We use softened water that has very little dissolved solids in it, so I'm expecting that we won't have much problem with deposits. This unit has no air filters that require changing like cool mist filters do. I found no fault with this well designed humidifier.

Must Read Manual, Too Many Restrictions
Pros: - No Filter needed - Almost bacteria free - Very quiet humidifier Cons: - Must fill with cool water (no warm, nor hot water) - I don't know why the manual says to wait 5 minutes before turning back on just for changing water, and most people would forget anyway - Extra Essential Oils, Medications or Inhalant Liquids must be poured in a container caller “cup” where it's written in an almost hard to notice “inhalant” which is located in the center where the mist comes out (I think most people wouldn't know if they don't read the manual) and do not confuse with the water tank handle. Failure doing it will void warranty - Have to be careful not to pour vinegar over the red locking latch and the heating element during scale removing - Need to check humidifier level to avoid over-humidifying the humidifier - Have to wait 20-30 minutes to cool before cleaning

Makes a Huge Difference!

I cannot believe that we have been living without a humidifier for this long! This humidifier makes a huge difference in the air. During the winter we are constantly waking up feeling stuffy and have a scratchy throat. We set this up in our bedroom and let it run overnight as we are sleeping and we have both felt a lot better when we wake up in the morning. I have noticed a big difference, my throat feels less dry and my nose is a lot less stuffy in the morning. It is very quiet while running you can only hear a very faint sound from the steam coming out. The humidifier is very easy to set up and use. You can also add essential oils to it so it pushes out your favorite scent. You can see the steam coming out of the top and it is warm steam that makes a difference in the room. This unit is filter free which is great because you do not have to worry about ever changing out filters. It is also very easy to clean. If you think your house has dry air I definitely recommend getting this humidifier. It makes a world of difference.

Easy to use and keep clean

I've bought humidifiers with filters in the past, and wasn't a fan at all. They always had a musty smell, even after cleaning. And, I didn't care for the cold mist. I really like this humidifier. It makes warm mist, and it has a cup for essential oils.

It took less than half an hour to take apart, clean, and reassemble. It has a nice look to it, and best of all, no filter!

Easy to use and easy to clean

I needed a humidifier that would be easy to use and maintain. The Honeywell filter-free is perfect for our needs. The unit comes with explicit instructions, which include pictures. It has settings for high or low humidity, and a reset button, which will light up when the unit is out of water. There is an essential oil cup for oils and medicines (we often use eucalyptus oil). Care must be taken when putting anything in the essential oil cup, so oil doesn't spill over the sides and into the unit.

It has been very dry in the house due to our running the heater. The humidifier provided much--needed relief. An added bonus is the house smells great with the addition of eucalyptus or bayberry oil. It also doubles as a vaporizer, because it produces a warm mist.

Cleaning and sanitizing required only a little vinegar, a half--teaspoon of bleach in water, and a plastic brush. If you run the humidifier regularly you need to clean weekly. Walmart sells Kaz Protec balls for humidifiers, which will keep the unit clean longer.

It took me minutes to disassemble, clean and sanitize, and reassemble the unit. The pictures helped a lot. If you plan to store the unit, I would recommend keeping the box.

Efficient, portable & great for small spaces

The Honeywell Filter Free Warm Mist Humidifier is a simple and straight forward to use humidifier that's perfect for small spaces. It's virtually silent, holds 1 gallon, heats up to misting in about 3 minutes (4 if filled completely to the top), and has the added feature of having an essential oils cup that you can use to add scented or medicated oils to. It might effectively humidify a medium size room, but the mist only 'shoots' a foot or so away from the unit. It also has an automatic shutoff if you leave it on and it runs out of water. Good product that does what it's supposed to made by a trusted brand. Recommended!

Great for relieving nasal congestion

I was anxious to receive the Honeywell Warm Mist Humidifier as I have had nasal congestion and I heard that humidifiers were great in relieving the symptoms. Well, it worked. As soon as I figured out how to use it and got it ready, the steam - warm mist, helped relieve my congestion. I used it for a few days and feel much better. The humidifier gives relief from dry air and helped with my nasal bleeding. It is 99.5% bacterial free mist. It has an automatic shutoff and there's a refill light that comes on when the tank is empty. The wide mouth opening in the tank makes it easy to fill without making a mess. It holds one gallon water so that explains why it lasts 24 hours. It is very quiet and very sleek looking. I have the black one. The dimensions are 11.95" W x 7.45" depth x 12.45" H. It's for medium sized rooms. It has a high and a low setting and you can use essential oils (which I haven't tried yet). The mist is very visible and the moisture was visible in my garden window. I turned it from high to low and the window cleared very fast. They recommend a humidity monitor to check on the humidity level. There's a lot of instructions for cleaning this humidifier which includes scale removal and disinfecting. Some parts are dishwasher safe. It is filter free.

Love this humidifier

So I finally got my humidifier luckily because my daughter just got sick so for the past two days I've had this thing running and it worked like a charm doesn't feel like a normal humidifier so the room doesn't feel super wet.i added in essential oils into the oil part of the humidifier. Actually feel calm from it. Daughter sounds better. And it took a wee bit of time to figure it out

An easier and healthier way to breathe clean air

The humidifier was simple and easy to assemble. I particularly like that it used no filters, so cleaning the humidifier was much easier for me. I really like how quickly it heats up the water, to produce the warm mist in the room. This humidifier covered my small rooms and large rooms with the same soothing comforting results, of clean 99.5% bacteria free air.It definitely helped eliminate my seven year olds dry throat, and annoying little cough he had. The only thing was I couldn't check the humidity level in the rooms,so i had to watch the humidifier to see if I needed to turn it off if or when condensation occurred on the unit, walls, or windows.

After using my humidifier for two to three days it,became easier to set up and operate. More than ever , i liked that it only had one knob to operate the humidifier (the power knob).

Best I have used

Set up out of the box was very easy. All I had to do was to fill the water part up and it was ready. Since this is a warm mist I noticed that there is a good amount of Condensation. Make sure you don't have. This next to any electronics or by a wall. It does take about 5 minutes to warm up before you see any type of mist. I did add some Lavender to the oil tray. I don't notice the smell of the Lavender. Clean up is easy there is no filter to mess around with. This is probably the best humidifier I have use. Definitely would recommend it. But Not impressed with the oil feature.

Great machine

I love the fact I can use my oils with this humidifier. It's easy to add the water and easy to clean up. I use it in my home and it helps tremendously. I can run only water or I can add any oil another good one is the menthol for when we are sick. I haven't had any problems with it yet. Easy for clean up also.

1. Thank you for your inquiry. The mist is barely visible, as the cooling chimney keeps it from coming out as hot steam, but merely warm, moist air. 1. That is a good question. The unit will get warm on the outside, but it will not get dangerously hot. We still do not advise moving this unit while it is running, and to allow 20 minutes after it has been turned off before moving the unit. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact our consumer relations team by emailing us at SocialSupport@HelenofTroy.com. Thank you.
