I am very happy with this chair. It is a perfect fit for me and for the space I put it in and it looks very good with the rest of my furniture. It is a roomy chair. However, for reclining purposes, it might not be as comfortable for a taller person.

    • A. The head support is beautiful for a person that is 5'3" like me. But, even for my height it could be a little higher because when reclining I have to scoot down a bit. So, anybody taller would be scooting down and then the legs would be forced off the footrest, which is very uncomfortable. So, if you are a tall person, I would recommend a higher back support.

    • A. Not super good. My son is about 5'0" and the backrest comes to the middle of the back of his head. I am 5'6" and it does not support my head and neck at all. I can slouch down or recline the chair and it is pretty comfortable. I usually put a pillow vertically in the back of the chair (the backrest also leans back more than I like in it's most upright position)--it is fine with a pillow.

    • A. I absolutely love this chair, but there's actually not a whole lot of head support. If I recline all the way, I usually get a pillow to put behind my head for added comfort.

    • A. Perfect for me. I'm 5'4", and my head rests perfectly. My 6' boyfriend hangs over a little, says he's perfectly comfortable with just an extra pillow.

    • A. I am 5'8" and my head is easily supported since the back of the recliner is high enough. This should be good for upto a 6' tall guy as well.

    • A. It comes in a box. It would probably fit in your trunk but you may have to tie it down as your trunk would probably not close with the box in it.

    • A. I own a 2000 Buick Regal and I got it home however you will need rope or bungee cords because the trunk wouldn't close actually the trunk lid was completely open but the box fit far enough into the compartment that it wasn't unsafe to transport it this way.

    • A. I had this chair delivered to me. It came in a huge box. Even leaving your trunk open and tied down, I cannot see this huge box fitting in a mid-size sedan's trunk. However, taking it out of the box may work since it comes in parts.

    • A. The chair comes in an almost-square box. The backrest comes off and so do the legs (this is how it is packaged in the box). I don't think the box would fit completely in the trunk (unless you tied the trunk down with a rope), but you would probably be able to take it out of the box and fit it in by separating the backrest from the base. You might even be able to fit it in the backseat this way.

    • A. It might fit in a midsize sedan if you take it out of the box. We brought an old-school minivan and could only fit it in the middle row without taking out the back seats. It comes in two main parts inside the box.

    • A. No. I just bought this recliner last weekend. I have an Acura TSX so it is like a midsized sedan. I had to open the box, somehow get the bottom part (seat) in through the passenger door into the car and then put the back and packaging in the trunk. I was able to manage it somehow and bring it home. So you can definitely take it out of the box to try to fit the two pieces in somehow but its tricky.

    • A. When taking it out of the box, it does have a mild new smell to it. To me it was not bothersome, but if you are chemical sensitive, you may want to consider something you can use to mask the smell. I have had this chair for nearly a month, and it no longer has the factory smell. In fact, the smell went away in a day.
