Home Craft 3-Piece Vanity is the name of the item, but the emphasis is on the word "craft". Even though the wood is beautiful, heavy (a whopping 47 pounds!)and sturdy, I had difficulties putting this vanity together. Although I have arranged living room end tables, night stands, bookcases, and other pieces of furniture, this was by far the most difficult, and time consuming. Unless you are a carpenter by trade, or a large man, I wouldn't recommend this as a project. The packaging materials were very protective, and the pieces were not dented or scraped in any way, but it was almost impossible to loosen the pieces to release them from the box/packaging. Not only that, but the screws, nuts, bolts, and tacks were loose inside the box, and many were loose inside the plastic wrapping itself. Once I pulled out the plastic wrap, the rest of the nuts, bolts, etc. landed up all over the floor, and there were a total of 67 nuts, bolts, screws, and tacks needed to put the vanity together! It took me an hour just to get the materials out of the packing box, and gather up all the nuts and bolts.
Once I got the assistance I needed, and the project was completed, the vanity, mirror, and seat were beautiful. I did especially like the seat, which is well padded, and is more like a small bench because of it's width, plus, the colors go well with the rest of my bedroom.
The set is a beautiful cherry wood, and I do love the way it looks. It is much larger than expected, which is a plus. I do enjoy having a large center mirror, with the 2 side mirrors, as it gives me a better view when applying make-up and fixing my hair.
The drawback was the fact that it was frustrating having to screw in all the nuts, bolts, etc., and it took a long time and a lot of patience to finally put the set together. It was tedious!
Would I recommend the vanity set to a woman, based on appearance, features, and sturdiness - yes. Would I recommend a woman deal with the project of putting the set together - no.
