I got the chance to try Hershey's Sugar Free Chocolate Chips. I was a little worried at first, because sometimes sugar free products seem to not taste as good or leave an after taste. I tried a few chips before baking with them just to see how they tasted. I have to say I was absolutely impressed!! They tasted the same. Yum!!! I proceeded with baking them into a chocolate cake with fudge frosting. This cake turned out amazing without the sugar. I would definitely give these a try. I love them!! You would never know this are sugar free!
Consistency, taste and melting are the same as regular Hershey's semi-sweet baking chips. I ate some right out of the bag and they taste creamy, a little bitter and dry like the regular chips. I made my mother in law cookies using these and she loved them, they have come a long way in making sugar free chocolate taste amazing! You will not be disappointed. No sugar bur tastes great
I don't understand why we have to order these online. They need to be on the shelves with so many doing no carb diets and the diabetic population expanding. They taste great, melt just like regular chocolate chips and the price, even though more than regular chips is compatible with other specialty items.
Finally a sugar free chocolate chip
I happened to notice sugar free chocolate chips before Christmas and was very pleased with the cookies I used them in. So much so that I was disappointed they were not in the store after Christmas. I searched many Wal-marts for about 6 weeks and gave up and ordered online. Of course I would prefer not to have to pay postage and handling to have them shipped, by buying them in the store, but that was not an option, as Wal-marts doesn't consistently carry these in-store. So, I buy many bags at a time and freeze them. It does not harm the taste. Hopefully, next time I need them for baking, they will be available in-store.
Hershey's doesn't disappoint at all! Combine Spenda brown sugar with the Splenda sugar blend and baking never tasted so good to the diabetic! Add in these Hershey's sugar-free chocolate chips and you'll be the hero with your delicious chocolate chip coookies! Yum-O!!! I had a hard time finding them in the store and the website came through. They are so good, I bought six bags and froze them. (Do be careful about the amount of consupmption - while as delicious as they are, too many can catch up with you and cause an uneasy GI tract)
