    Excellent!
I had never experienced an electric food processor before this one. My neighbor has a HUGE garden and was saying how well his potatoes were coming along and asked me to look online for how to make shredded potatoes and freeze them so I did that for him. A few days later he called to BEG me to take some potatoes. So we decided we would take some off his hands and try that recipe I got him ourselves. I said it might be nice to have a food processor. So I went online and began reading reviews. This food processor seemed like it would fit the bill. And it seemed to be an average price, we didn't need a Cuisnart... We got the food processor and though we are both machinists there was a learning curve for us and we threw the first two batches of 3 pounds each in the ditch since they came out mush. (Good thing they were free! And good that the neighbor wanted them gone!) We finally figured it out and we did 12 batches of 3 pounds each shredded potatoes for our freezer!!!!! They turned out perfect!!!!! Beautiful!!!!!! Got to fry some up with a piece of ham the other evening and yes, they are far better then grocery store shredded potatoes! And well worth the expense of this, and avoided using a primitive non electric device for that many potatoes! I didn't know either what size to get being a novice with food processors, but this one was just exactly the right size to do 3 pounds of potatoes at a time as the recipe called for. WONDERFUL!

    good value for the price.
The price was very good. I used the processor for the first time today I am disappointed with the product. I attempted to chop 4 cups of fresh cranberries, 2 red apples, 1 orange, and zest. I had to keep taking off the lid and try to move the fruit around. The apples was cut into fourths already when added. It did mix a bit better when I poured half of the contents out then added it after I added the sugar. after mixing again I still found one of the apple quarters that has totally no been chopped at all. I wouldn't reccomend this item.

    Impressive

My wife has carpal tunnel syndrome so tasks such as shredding cheese and slicing vegetables can be problematic. A little research showed that this Hamilton Beach food processor was highly rated on multiple vendor sites. I was not prepared for the power of this appliance as it shredded a block of cheddar cheese within a handful of seconds. Absolutely love this product.

    Just what we needed

I really like this food processor for the price. It has the ability to store all the pieces well, a cord keeper in the back and works well for our needs. We mostly shred cheese, make food purees and use it to chop veggies. I haven't used the slicing function yet but the chop and shred functions work well. I really like the wide and small mouth options for feeding the item in to the top so that you don't have to cut the pieces so small. Great standard appliance for the price.

    Great Product

Nice and powerful. Only thing is, it's TALL so might want to plan for storing. i have to have my top off to store it.

    excellent product

It's a time saver and makes a whole lot of things.

    Seems to be perfect.

It works great. The service of buying this item and sending it to my daughter-in-law were very easy. She loves it.

    Help in the kitchen!

I have two types of arthritis and carpal tunnel in both hands. Chopping veggies and making pie crust were two things not happening in my kitchen. I also used to make my own pasta. With my new food processor from Hamilton Beach, not only do I get to cook a greater variety of thongs, but I can let my grandchildren help due to the great safety features on this equipment. You can not run the food processor unless it is correctly assembled and the cover locked in place. No little fingers can reach into an open container while it's running. And the kids were mesmerized watching cheddar cheese stick dough come together in seconds. I've enjoyed using the food processor to chop all the veggies for soup and puree the fruit for jam. I got a great piece of kitchen equipment at a great price, delivered to my door in days. Thanks, Walmart!

    Versatile and easy-to-use

Large-capacity multiple functions are great. Doesn't work for shredding soft cheeses as stated in the manual. Small bits of food get stuck in the handle on the food chute.

I love it! The Hamilton Beach stack and snap 12 cup food processor is just the right size, and has all the features i was looking for. Easy to assemble and use. And it was just the right price for my budget.

    1. Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the shredder/slicer disc is not adjustable and the carrots will not come out paper thin after slicing.

    1. Thank you for your question. We do not recommend using the food processor to make dough as to maintain the optimal performance from the motor.

    1. Nut butters can be made successfully in food processors. However, the thick mixtures can challenge the motors of small food processors. For food processors of this size and motor type, we would recommend using roasted nuts verses raw nuts. Roasting draws moisture out of the nuts so the dryer nuts slice quicker. This allows the oils to be extracted and blended into a nut butter faster with less stress on the motor. Quantity of nuts will also affect the amount of processing time. We recommend processing no more than 3 cups of nuts at a time. If making nut butters is a primary task that you would like to use a food processor for, consider selecting a food processor with a more robust motor that can handle the tougher jobs.
