Baby…It's cold inside!
I'm finally cool! My condo is not insulated well, and the central air/heat doesn't cool it down. I bought this window unit and installed it myself! I feel 100% cooler! It's very quiet and keeps my upstairs feeling good! I purchased another one for the downstairs!

Quiet but excessive mold growth
We love how quiet this unit is. Although the front panel often vibrates, we've found a workaround to quiet it (avoid clicking the panel into place in the top center). But there's excessive mold growth inside the unit: the cylindrical fan behind the vents is 30% covered in mold after 3 years even though we spray what can be reached with a bleach solution at least twice per summer. I wonder if the mold is from the fact that this unit works by pooling water in the base even though it's properly tilted to drain. There's no instructions for opening the unit to remove the fan so we can clean it. Black mold is a scary thing to have blowing into our bedroom.

    Excellent choice
    Installed in my son's 10x12 bedroom. (He's a polar bear) It gets COLD in there now! And it's quieter than a box fan. Cool features too. Can set to turn on or off 1-24 hours. Installation was easy.

    Quiet comfort
    I have 6 air conditioners/ 4 window and two portable. The GE is my favorite by far. Quiet and efficient with features to enhance comfort from timers to eco and quiet settings.

    It's sooo QUIET!!
    I'm really so happy with this a/c!! I love all the features ESPECIALLY its QUIET operation which was exactly what I was looking for!! It's small but cools very efficiently!! Also a great energy saver as well!! This little unit is a winner!!
