    Good for the Long Haul

I bought this off the shelf at my local WalMart. As my Windows XP computers stop working with any internet site, I will switch that site to this computer. With Windows 10, I should be set for years to come. This is a touchscreen computer, which surprised me, somehow I didn't see that before I bought it. But it also works fine with the mouse (of course). This is a beautiful computer and looks good in my home and operates much faster (even boots much faster) than my XP computers. My only negatives are the flimsy, cramped, laptop-style keyboard, and the fact that Windows Office (Word, etc.) is not included. When I try to open a Word file, a pop-up ad tries to sell Office to me. However, WordPad *is* included, and it is almost as good as Word. There is some bloatware (system memory is 37% full), but it is easily removed with Task Manager. I find Windows 10 harder to use than Windows XP, but I am not reflecting that in my rating.

    Amazing value...IPS Screen too!

My wife needed a computer for college and we didn't want to wait on the Lenovo B40 from Best Buy to ship to us. We went to the local Walmart and saw this HP but the display models were not even powered on. Figured we would take a shot and try it out. Now, I am VERY picky about computers being a bit of a nerd if I am honest. And this computer is impressive. The screen is of great quality with wonderful color and viewing angles. It is not a cheap TN display but a much nicer IPS like on your smart phone. I followed a youtube video to take the back off the computer, which was actually very simple compared to an iMac, and installed a SSD (solid state hard drive) and the speed increase was instant. I never even bothered using the pre-installed HDD but it should work decent enough. Even the RAM and CPU are upgradeable once you remove the back cover :)

    My review

over all i have read the prier reviews on this computer. and liked that people liked it. what i dont like is the color contrast. the bar above the address bar is a gray light and the task bar is a light blue. i researched the web on way to change and or adjust it but no help. so i called hp tech they upgraded the driver and nothing changed. i asked about the lightness i was told to not worry about it. i would like to be able to have a good looking web pages and application display. other then that one issue i do like the 22 inch screen and the touch screen no worry's on cables and or battery replacement. i hook up my cannon printer wireless and had no problem even though it isnt windows 10. i did order new memory for a total of 16 mb. waiting on it to arrive to upgrade. other the the screen issure i am happy and pleased with this hp. hope some one will work on the screen fix.

    A complete office in one

I have been in need of a new computer for a long time, and have had bad experience with used computers, not being able to afford a brand-new computer myself. Just recently, my Dad bought me this computer for my 24th birthday present as well as for college, and so far it works very well. The screen is clear and crisp and it is easy to plug up and start without a bunch of clutter. The audio is excellent and really records your voice well too, even for a quiet person like me. Lol. I'm also an active writer and this computer means my needs by offering several options for organizing notes and my story ideas. My only con would be the webcam. The camera is a bit gritty, but is still durable. Overall, I would recommend this computer to others who are interested in not only having a computer, but an office to mean all their personal needs.

Very poor HP service on this unit

I bought this unit about 6 months ago, about 2 months the hard drive went out, I call customer service and they talk to me for about an hour, had me take the unit apart, and tried to fix the problem, about 30 minutes later the said they would send me a box, it took 2 weeks from the time i sent it in and it came back, now the hard drive i out again, they sent me a box, but this time with out labels to send it back, i haven't received the new box they said they would send that has been another week. if it keep this up the warranty will be gone. I would not recommend the all in one to anyone, i have 3 HP unit here but they all have towers , I know this not Wall-Marts faults, but HP has the worst customer service that i have ever come across

    nice system

This system was a breeze to set up. I usually get Dells. This looks to be a solid performer. Although I think the dvd drive is very ,how to say it, cheaply made. I works OK but It looks like it will fall apart. If you just use it to load a program now and then it will not be a problem. But if you plan to use the system to watch a lot of DVD's, then I would suggest an external drive. I do realize that they didn't have much room to stuff a drive in. I do not see that aa a deal breaker for this machine, just be aware of the problem.

Not the best I've ever had.

I bought this computer about a month ago. I have to say that the buying experience from Walmart and their employees made the transaction better then the computer itself. But what can I say about it for the cost it is what to be expected. First I would like to say that the monitor is clear, bright and very easy on the eyes. It was a snap to get it out of the box and set up. The sound is good, not great. If you are looking for a computer before windows 10 this does not compare, it has a lot of kinks that seem to be haunting windows 10. The back button works, sometimes, it is a pain to put your favorites on your desktop. haven't even gotten close to doing that, it's not easy. The on and off button is on the bottom of the monitor and is hard to find. I have to admit my needs for a computer are not that expansive, just like to read, socialize , email and pay bills and for that it does the job but seriously would not want this computer to overtax itself by doing anything more then my smartphone, which by the way is much more intuitive. So to wrap this up, It is ok but it sure doesn't excite you or Wow you in anyway shape of form. Quick note : If they had a option of 3 and a half stars I would have chose that.

I have wanted to purchase this for a number of months. It has a huge screen, which is awesome for old eyes playing games. The speaker is better than a tv! Awesome speaker. And I absolutely love the touch screen, an alternative to using the mouse.

    Great Computer for the price

Bought this computer as a birthday gift for my daughter. So far so good. Great display. Comes with tons of programs (and apps as it has a touch screen also). I am pleased with this purchase.

    Excellent all in one

Its very fast, and has everything most people need already installed,, I did add Mcafee virus , and auslogic boost to keep it fast and up to date. its really a nice touchscreen and large enough. i am well pleased with it.
