I'm a teacher and My school doesn't allow color printing so I've been in desperate need of a colored printer. It worked perfectly with my chromebook using google cloud print. It took a while to set it it up With hp and then my laptop but it works like a charm and is the perfect size. The colored images are beautiful too and perfect for my lessons! Couldn't be happier. I love that it's wireless as well. It's a little slow but I've seen much slower before and for it to be small I think it's not that bad!

Customer reviews & ratings
Perfect inexpensive printer! Great deal.
Love the price and the color options. Bought it for my kids so they can print out what they need for school projects or activity print outs from their favorite learning apps/websites. Copier is a plus!
My First HP wireless that really is wireless
This is a wonderfully fantastic printer. I'm thrilled. Firstly, it's tiny, about the size and shape of a shoebox. There is no glass plate to scan things, you just photo them with your smartphone and print from your wi-fi. What could be easier? Easy to set up. I didn't have to call anybody. You set it up from your laptop or whatever you plan to print from and the URL connects to HP to do all the heavy lifting installing and configuring. Easy Peasy. There are a few things I'd like different. It's dog slow. I could make a sandwich in the time it takes to print a page. However it's so quiet I can print in the middle of the night without waking anybody even in the same room. I'll take the quiet. It feels fragile. The paper tray and paper holder are thin plastic. They feel like they might break easily. I've only had it a day, so they may be stronger than they look. It does come with a cable to connect directly to your laptop. Doesn't mention that on the box. I love it. The price was affordable, it does exactly what I need. It doesn't take up much space. It's pretty. I'm a happy camper.
Good little printer for the money
This a little printer is actually very good! At first I was kind of disappointed it was slow, but I went to HP online and downloaded the printer update and now it is much better. It gives me a lot of space on my desk too, and It can be wireless! I can print from my cell or laptop! Good printer for the money.
Not worth it
I purchased the HP 3722 for the size and for the scanner. I unpacked it and plugged it in. I then hooked up the USB cable that it came with to my laptop. The ease of setting it up on my laptop was very quick and easy. Inserting the 2 cartridges (it comes with color and black and white) was very simple and the directions were easy to follow. I then proceeded to scan my 47 page document. First, there was no instructions on how to scan, in the booklet that comes with the printer. So after I examined the machine, I determined there was no automatic page pull, which means you have to insert each page separately - then select "next" and then select "scan" for EACH PAGE -- needless to say, it took me 32 minutes to scan 47 pages. What a joke. It was noisy and after I reviewed my PDF on my laptop -- I noticed large black lines across the top of each page, plus if you don't put the page in perfectly even, it comes out sideways.... YIKES! The local library is free, crisp and even scanning --- I would've been there and back in 32 mintues! Geez....
Not what I excepted.
Very slow in printing. Half the time I can't get it to print something from the internet like a receipt or a recipe Only had a few hours. Print looks great. Picture was great. Just trying to get it to print in black only or color only is hard. ( can't get that feature to work). I may take it back. My son needs a printer asap. His project will be late since I could not get the printer to work properly right out of the box.
PC connection issue
I purchased this HP Deskjet 3722 and will return it! I spent an inordinate amount of time trying to get this printer and my HP Stream laptop to work together. Very frustrating! I set up the same both products for a family member and was connected in about 25 minutes. I do like the size and color options but that is all!
Don't waste your time or money on this printer. I like HP printers and when I needed a new one I chose this one because it is small and I liked the color choices. I successfully downloaded the software and printed one page and then there was this weird error. The tiny screen will display an E and then a 3 with orange blinking lights. After some research it seemed to be a paper jam. Thinking it was no big deal to clear out some paper. I looked everywhere for paper in this printer or little objects and found nothing, so I thought that it was just an error on the printer. I tried printing some more pages and the darn orange light kept coming on. I went though all the steps on getting this light to clear. I looked for tiny pieces of paper, I reinstalled the ink, I unplugged the printer and plugged it back in. NOTHING!!! I wasted over an hour of my time to get this thing to work. This is junk. Don't buy it for your college student and definitely don't buy it for personal use.
I`m not happy
After unpack and install the ink cartridges I did the setup as instructed. As I tried to print a test page I noticed a warning of empty cartridge. I tried to remove and install it again... nothing After a quickly research online I found that this is a very common problem with HP printers for years, particularly with 3700 series. I followed all instructions in the HP Help Center web site... Still nothing. Final verdict: I wasn't able to print one single page in a brand new printer I bought hours ago. After all the reviews I found, I'm returning it tomorrow and spend my money in other brand. HP no more.
Why is this rated good?
Love the size and price, however I was hoping to have a printer that would print. It prints one black and white page every one to two minutes. The plus side is I can brush my teeth and shave in the time it takes to print 3 pages and still wait a little for it to finish. I think it is quiet because it doesn't move/print fast enough to hear it move. Regret wasting my time with it.
