It's been a decade since I had used a HP laptop. Just remember it as slow and clunky and have used other brands since. This new 15 inch HP touchscreen laptop is a nice welcome. For the price, it doesn't have all the high end specs that I would look for look, but as far as simplicity it works for general use. At first, while setting up for the first time, it was slow and at times unresponsive, but figured out it was updating multiple apps and software in the background. After all the initial updates were complete, it has become quick and responsive to clicks.
Predominantly use the Google ecosystem for everything, so it's tough to go back to Microsoft operating system and use Microsoft software products. I'm still familiar with using Microsoft but have moved on and prefer Google.
This HP does have an ethernet port for direct hardwire to the internet if you prefer it other than using wifi. Also comes with three USB 2.0 ports, HDMI port, 2 in 1 mic or headset jack, sd card reader, and a dvd drive. Again, for the price, the specs are appropriate in my view.
Overall, this is a basic entry-level laptop for general browsing, online shopping, and general use.
