I'm not someone who requires my laptop to do much more than Internet browsing and apps like Netflix. For my purposes, the laptop works great. There are 2 USB ports, HDMI port, headphone/microphone jack, memory card reader, and an optical drive (DVD compatible). What's awesome about the touchscreen capability is that you have the option to switch back and forth between the built-in mouse (standard laptop variety), or touching the screen to do things that would be easier with touch (e.g. when setting up the laptop, it's super simple to answer the yes/no questions with a touch of your finger).
In terms of aesthetics, the laptop looks very much like the picture (black keyboard, black edge around the screen, etc.). I like the keyboard; it has good-sized keys and a numeric keypad, which is important for me.
Setup is pretty fool-proof as Cortana (Windows 10) walks you through the process. I think that this laptop is very user friendly for all ages and will work nicely for what I need. Again, I don't need my laptop to be super high speed, but the Internet is as quick in responsiveness as my smartphone and I'm happy with it.
