I ended up buying two of the 4.0Ah batteries because one was not enough for the amount of leaves I had. If you keep your yard up on a regular basis, you might need only one. If you have a large yard, I suggest buying one of the larger capacity batteries. The battery has built-in feature assuring the battery is conditioned and ready to operate at full charge. I had no problems with them. The cost is a little steep

Great battery for 40V HART tools

I got this HART 40-Volt 4.0Ah Battery Accessory, Lithium-Ion, On-Board Fuel Gauge to use with my HART 40V tools. Now I can use them longer by having two batteries charged up and ready to use while I am using my HART string trimmer, blower and chainsaw. Now I can know I can complete my job without running out of battery charge. I love thatthis batter is so powerful. It features the fad free lithium Ion technology and gives consistent power that lasts a long time and lets me complete what I am doing. And, the On Board Fuel Gauge lets me check the charge at a glance so I can know when it is time to switch batteries. I really love how durable this battery is and how it should last a very long time. And it is compatible with all of the HART 40V tools, so I do not have to have separate batteries for each tool, which saves me money and space, both of which are important to me. I feel better knowing I do not have to use gas with my tools. It is sold separately from any tool, and does not include a charger. I do recommend this battery.
