i requested assembly because i purchased these for my 73 yr old mother 1200 miles away from me. she had no one to assemble. the angi service repeatedly canceled causing multiple reschedulings. never could get them to come. i had a relative drive to her and assmble. i highly recommend not using angi services. she did not get these before or even on xmas because of angi services.

Gymax Set of 2 Bar Stool (the little black dress)

Gymax Set of 2 Bar Stool 30.5'' Swivel Pub Height Dining Chair with Rubber Wood Legs. sold by Gymax LLC fulfilled by Walmart. Just to put you, the reader, at ease....my review is not meant to be negative.... just practical and honest! So the stated height is wrong it's not 30.5" high! Real height is barely 29.5". that's a big difference to me, since my old chairs are 31.5" the perfect height for my 43" high breakfast bar, so it's off by 2" instead of 1" if the description were accurate. This height difference I'll have to get used to, since I am NOT returning them......BECAUSE..... I bought 4 for my 43" high breakfast bar, they are very sturdy and absolutely..... BEAUTIFUL!....with the brown/black/silver color combo, they look way more expensive. They are "the little black dress" of breakfast bar swivel stools %26 chairs - ladies you know what that is. They are refreshingly light to move, and swivel very smoothly. (my old ones I've had for 19 years, are iron and very heavy). The nail-head trim on the seat front is the finishing touch, like the beautiful silver necklace with the little black dress :). The other minor disappointment is the nail head trim does not go all around the seat to the back, but the sides are visible when seeing the chairs from the back, and again....they are BEAUTIFUL.! Last but just as important...the original delivery date was December 26th, they arrived Dec 22nd, VERY well packed, in time to be assembled for our Christmas eve get together. Assembly was a breeze. I will buy again from this vendor. I am happy. My extensive search in furniture stores and online has paid off. Fun fact: I am sitting in one at my breakfast bar writing this review, on December 27th at 1.29 pm. Lol I think you will be as happy with them as I am.
