Condensate is a common byproduct from the operation of refrigerators, freezers, and ice machines. Condensation occurs when water is changed from it's gaseous form (water vapor) into liquid as it passes over the evaporator coil. Typically this can occur when warm air comes into contact with cold surfaces where water droplets will form. A condensate drain system is the exit route for this moisture as is collects in condensate the pan, and out through the condensate drain line. A hose is a flexible hollow tube designed to carry fluids from one location to another.
