I've been getting the gripper-style seat cushions for years and they last a surprisingly long time. They work so much better than the tie-on style--I will never go back. They stay in place--really. I use them on wooden chair seats and on folding chairs with great success. The gripper material is durable--I have another set that is 5 years old and the gripper material is still intact. I don't recommend storing in a hot garage or storage shed, though--that is the only time I've seen the material crack a little.
The brown striped design is a good neutral--works with almost any décor. The tufted seat is thick but cushy enough so that it doesn't cut off circulation! I've also purchased the flat (untufted) version and they are especially useful for folding chairs.
My only complaint is that Walmart doesn't offer a larger variety of colors and designs. The price is right, though, so you won't break the bank if you decide to get a new design in a few years.
