Is it flour pour or floor pour?
Either way you say it, this 25 lb bag of All Purpose flour is a bargain. For less than $10 you get the equivalent of 5 five-pound bags. At two bucks a pop, it's a no-brainer. I bake. I bake bread. I bake a lot of bread. On a daily basis. Oatmeal, baguettes, sourdough boules, sourdough rye, dinner rolls, hot dog and hamburger buns, focaccia, pizza - I am obsessed with bread! Our house smiles when the bread is baking and is almost done. Such an aroma! It is reason enough to buy flour in bulk. There is no better perfume, with the exception of that first whiff of the first cup of coffee of the day. But coffee makes a lousy loaf of bread. Buy this huge sack of ground wheat instead. You are most welcome ;-)

$0.33 per pound, hard to beat price

This is all purpose sifted flour. You can use it for most all your baking. At this present price and 25 pound bags, the cost is $0.33 cents per pound. I'm not sure if you could find it at any lower cost than this unless you go out and thrash it yourself. I use it for most all my baking. I make yeast rolls, biscuits, breads, pizza crusts, pie crusts, cakes, cookies, and more, all using this flour. I store it in huge jars with good seals. I don't put it in the fridge nor the freezer. As stated, I store it in huge glass jars and I have never seen any bugs or critters in this flour. It's not like it will last you years. If you're frequently baking something, it will probably last you three or six months. If you rarely use flour, then I wouldn't suggest buying this size bag. You can easily do the math. On average for all purpose flour, 4 cups = 1 pound. The expiration date on the recent bag I purchased, is approximately one year from my date of purchase. Therefore, you can do your math on how many cups of flour you generally use per week and how long it would take you to use up 25 pounds of flour.

good value

Cooks great breads, focaccia, rolls, cakes, cookies and brownies. Can't beat the price - even at BJs Love having bulk flour delivered to my little apartment in Manhattan with free delivery for purchases over $45. Thank you Walmart. Saves me lugging it up 5 floors and on the subway without a car. Love it! BTW, what doesn't fit in the current canister, goes into ziplock bags in the freezer - no infestations and doesn't affect the taste.

Big bag of flour

This is a big bag of flour. Only get this if you are a regular baker otherwise it will take you years to go through it all. For those that bake a lot though, it's nice to be able to get bags in this size.

Great Value All-purpose Flour

This is a top-notch product and "great value". I do need to get some large containers to keep the flour fresh. So far I have used this flour to make pizza and rolls. This flour can do anything the other flours do.

1. There are too many factors that go into how old a product found on the shelf of your local store may be at the time of purchase. We recommend referring to the best by/expiration date on the package. If there is not an expiration date on the product, we suggest returning it to your store for a refund/exchange.
by HelpPL
2. I have flour and corn meal both in my refrigerator that I have kept and used for over one year now.
by JCJranch
3. The first thing I do is put the flour into the deep freeze for a couple of days. This ensures that any critters in the sack are given the sack. Afte that, I keep it in a big covered tub in the hall closet. It lasts for a few months. It doesn't go bad, I just use it all within that time frame. Honestly, I don't know the answer to your question. But if you use it on a regular basis as I do, you should not experience any funky flavors, if that is what you fear. You are most welcome.
by Badotz
4. I remove the flour from its original packaging into four packages in sealed bags and store it in the freezer It lasts forever
by sawmountain
5. My thinking behind it is that I seal the bag of as tight as possible and tape the bag shut. I keep my flour as long as its not discolored or chunky or has bugs that it can often attract. I even use it past the expiration date.
by FoxyRoxy4u
6. I keep whatever will not fit in my canister jar in the freezer wrapped in a large plastic bag or put it in smaller ziploc bags and freeze it. When it is time for a new bag of it I bring the bag out and let it get to room temp before using it in a recipe and it is wonderful and fresh as the day I purchased it. I have stored flour this way for years and I have never had any go bad no matter how long it is stored.
by Shoshanna719
7. Over a year? Cool, dry is the critical factor. Once the bag is opened, and humidity gets in, the life is about half? The flour would still be good for most uses, but not so good for bread?

1. Yes, I used this flour to make a pineapple dump cake this morning.
by JCJranch
2. Of course you can. This is all purpose flour. Make sure the recipe calls for that. If it says "self rising" flour that is different, but you can make that yourself easily with this flour and other ingredients you probably have at hand. Just google the recipe on that if needed.
by JKT1832
3. This is bread flour, not cake flour. The protein content is higher than that of cake flour. So, the short answer is "Yes, you can bake cakes with this flour." BUT, I would not advise using it in competition, say a State Fair? If you are feeding hangers-on, as I do, then by all means bake everything with this flour. They have no say in what I bring out of my kitchen ;-) Keep your reputation as a cake maker intact - buy and use the right flour for the right food.
by Badotz
4. Yes this is bleached, sifted baking powder
by FoxyRoxy4u
5. You can make cakes, bread, cookies, pie crusts and pasta with it. I do all the time and will say that it works very well. It is not a "specialty" flour made to be used in only one type of baking.
by Shoshanna719
6. This product can be used for baking.
by HelpPL
7. You could, but a cake flour would work better. Cake flour is a much finer grind, and makes a better texture with fewer voids (bubbles) in the finished product. Cake flour also uses a different blend of wheat. But yes, you can use it to bake cakes that taste great.

1. There are not any GMO wheat varieties so flour can not have GMO seed in it. Also Organic does not mean there are no GMO's in the product, it only means that the product was not grown with the use of pesticides/herbicides. 98% of all soybeans and 90% of all corn are GMO's weather it is a organic crop or not.
by Cropman2011
2. We are unable to guarantee at this time that all of our products are GMO free. Products that are GMO free will state that they are certified organic on the label which must contain no genetically modified organisms.
by HelpPL
3. Thank you for your inquiry. At this time, our records indicate this product and all wheat grown in the USA is seeded from non-GMO seed stock. Occasionally however, the fully grown wheat can be transported in the same rail cars with corn and soy, which can come from non-GMO sources.
by HelpPL
4. GMO is a way of life now... If you want to eat without doing 'hunting and gathering', you have GMO's.
