Good popper

The popper works well. The metal part to stir the kernels is set close to the bottom of the pan which keeps all the corn kernels stirred during popping time. I guess I'm a little uncoordinated as it's somewhat awkward to turn the stirrer knob that's within the handle. The handle moves as you turn the knob to stir the popcorn. I'm guessing the way the gears have to work causes this action. I'm used to a popcorn popper with the stirrer on top. It pops well and made well.

I should have read the reviews more carefully

This is a poorly made, inferior product. The aluminum is so thin you have to use more oil than necessary so the kernels don't burn on. The end of the spinner arms are tipped up, meaning you have to shake the body to move the kernels into the center to pop.This defeats the purpose of having a spinner. The spinner mechanism is too light weight and the plastic gears skip, not turning the spinner. The fitting that holds the outer handle in place keeps falling out, allowing the handle to fall off. The absolute worst is that there is no customer service, at least that calls you back. You can't return it to the local Walmart and you have to have the unopened original packaging to return it to Factory Direct. Buyer beware is certainly true here. My...
