I have other Granite Wear pots and they serve their purpose well. Yes they are thin, and can scorch easily, but, after all, it is a STOCK pot. And, when compared to stainless steel or aluminum pots, one can't beat this price for a pot that is only used occasionally and for specific purposes. If using a pot of this size on a regular basis, it would certainly be worth a bigger investment for one that is upwards of $100 or more. For my purposes, which is once a month use, on average, for large family get-together meals, this pot is excellent.

I love it!
It is the perfect size for what I needed and I it was a great addition and for the price I could not go wrong. So many other places wanted over 30.00 dollars for this type of pot.. and I was amazed to find it for the price I got it here on line! For me it is great! Cleans easy and does the job for me!
Not as described
My main problem with it is that the website did not explain that it is not flat on the bottom which does not work for my glasstop as that creates hot spots where there is no contact and ruins it's appearance. I returned it right away and therefore do not have any more experience with it.
I should have checked it before leaving the store. But, it was new, so I figured it was fine. It was the only water bath pot they had anyway. It had a dent where a bit of enamel is already off when I bought it. I would have taken it back, but by the time I noticed (washing the label off) my apple butter was nearly ready to process. Thin metal. I will buy a better one when I see one. Granite Ware brand used to mean something, not any more.
Not going to last!
I ordered this online and I recieved this two days later which was wonderful. I opened the box and pulled out the stock pot to see it was dented. I was not impressed at all with how light it was. I should have looked at it in the store because i would not have bought it. Pay a little more for better quality
Do not use with electric burner on rolling boil
This pot was the perfect size to can our tomatoes. After the first batch we noticed enamel burned onto our burner and looked at the bottom of the pot and enamel was burned away from the bottom where it made contact with the electric burner and it went through into the inside of the pot. We took that pot back as we thought it was just a defect on that one and exchanged it for a new one. I looked at the bottom before leaving the store and it was in perfect condition. We once again did a batch of tomatoes on the electric stove and made sure that the heat was not on high. Same thing happened. Enamel burned onto the burners and burned away from bottom of the pot.
