Great Carrier
My review is going to be a little different than most people's because I'm not using the Graco SnugRide as a car seat, but rather as a carrier. When my husband and I were looking at car seats, we were trying to decide between an infant car seat like this one and a convertible car seat. We ultimately decided to go with a convertible because it was more cost effective in the long-run (since they don't use these infant ones for very long) and they were rated much better on safety in Consumer Reports. We currently have a Graco Convertible car seat installed in each of our cars and have been very happy with them. The only drawback is that we don't have the convenience of being able to carry our little guy around in something portable if we want to go into a restaurant or something (because eating with him in the Baby Bjorn on the front of me isn't really an option). So we started looking into perhaps getting an infant car seat like this one for the sole purpose of carry him around. Thus, when I got the option to receive this one for free in exchange for a review, I jumped at it. So what we do is put our son in the convertible car seat that's installed in our car and then when we get to wherever we're going, we unbuckle him, take him out, set him in the Graco SnugRide, buckle him in, and go. It's been great to have a place to set him down comfortably while dining out, attending church, getting together with friends over coffee, etc. So now onto the review of this product... I've been happy with all of the Graco products I've used, and this is no exception. It's lightweight and yet seems quite sturdy. He looks comfortable in it and there's plenty of room for him to continue to grow while using it, which makes me happy because that means we'll get a lot of use out of it. (Our son is a little guy weighing in at just 10.5 lbs at 9 weeks.) One criticism that I have is that the head padding seems more like a pillow than a support. It's flimsy and basically just provides a little extra cushion behind the head, unlike some other models that I've seen (or like our convertible car seat has), which serve to protect the head from moving side to side in a collision. This padding has a cityscape-like pattern, but when remove it the car seat is entirely black (in my case, I appreciate that, but if you're looking for something really decorative you'll probably want to select a different pattern). This is more of a base model in the Graco line-up, which means that it doesn't have the convenient extras like a ball level, easy adjust strap heights, LATCH strap clips, etc. Instead, it has a line to level the car seat, straps that have to be re-threaded to adjust the height, and LATCH strap hooks. While that doesn't make it the most convenient of models, it doesn't make it any less safe and presumably is how they're able to offer this model at a lower price than some of their other options. Whether or not you want to pay more for these conveniences is up to you. In my case many of these items don't matter because I'm not actually installing the base in my car, so I don't mind at all. Plus, the reality is that you won't use those items that often anyways (just during the initial installation and then periodically as the baby grows and you need to make substantial adjustments). All in all, this seems like a pretty great product!

Infant car seat by Graco SnugRide Click Connect

This is a handsome, sturdy looking car seat. I inspected it well and the parts are well made. I modeled my newly one year old grandson in it who weighs about 27lbs. he's a stocky young man, but I got the car seat for my grandson who is due any day now. The car seat can fit a child up to 30lbs and as you can see from the picture that I included, my 27lbder would definitely be out of it as soon as he hits 30lbs. I like that this car seat will fit any Graco click in stroller because that will be our next purchase. I don't think I will have a hard time finding a stroller to match the colors are pretty basic. My daughter-in-law usually has small babies and I am pretty sure the newborn will have no problem fitting comfortably in this car seat. It feels well cushioned, I don't feel any of the hardness of the shell that is underneath. I would recommend this car seat. I got this car seat as a Spark Reviewer, but if I would have paid for it, it would be well worth the money.

The Lightest Car Seat

When the description on the box says ultra light weight, it really means it. This car seat only weighs 7 pounds! It great for carrying baby from car because it doesn't weigh you down. It comes out of the box ready to use. The base is super easy to install. It's easy to put the car seat belt through the base and then it latches on the hook very easy. The infant seat sits and snaps in the base with one hand. The harness that holds baby in is easy to snap and adjust and it also is easy to take baby out of the infant seat. It has a head rest that gives baby extra comfort and doesn't slide around. I am very happy with this lightweight infant car seat and I would recommend it to anyone. The only negative is that the cover on the right side would not stay down, but I'm sure with baby in it that it will stay down. It's really a girly girl infant seat with all the pink on it. I love the way it looks. The base is also extra light. It's really a great infant seat to bring baby home from the hospital.

Car Seat for granddaughters new baby

It seems to be a great well made lightweight car seat. Very functionable and easy to take out of the carriage as a hand carriable baby carrier to take it out of the car and in to the doctors office or the store or anywhere else you may have to go. I haven't given it to my granddaughter for her baby yet as we are planning a trip over there in a couple of weeks as she just had the baby this morning and is still in the hospital. So my view of this product is as a bystander as when I had my children 47 years ago, these were just coming into being and have been revised many times and many car seats have been recalled, but to me this appears to be a great item and she will appreciate it very much, as I bought her a larger one for Christmas and she said it was a little hard to deal with so I thought this would be ideal for the time being, I am certainly hoping so anyway. With the addition of this car seat they will have one available for both cars and not have to switch them out from car to car and also have the one that the hospital provided for grandmas car too as she has two grandchildren new, one from her other daughter who will be four this coming summer! Well thank you very much for this opportunity to receive a great product like this to be able to give to my granddaughter for her new baby. Mike

Click Connect makes it Quick and Portable

The SnugRide Click Connect 30 lightweight car seat is part of the top rated Snugride family which makes it easy for parents to carry baby from car to stroller and everywhere in between. The seat is designed to protect babies rear-facing from 4 – 30 pounds and up to 30”. It features a comfortable seat to keep baby safe and cozy. SnugRide Click Connect 30 is equipped with Click Connect car seat technology providing a one-step secure attachment to all Graco Click Connect strollers making it easy to create a travel system that best fits your lifestyle. The car seat itself weighs just 7.5 lbs. without the base for easy portability. This is a good thing for those with less strength. Graco is all about safety as its clients are arguably the most precious cargo we protect. So, your Click Connect car seat clicks into both your stroller and your infant car seat base, and the clear audio “click” lets you know it's secure. Safety is a number one concern for parents, so you'll love the 5-point harness. It will give you peace of mind that your little one is riding snug and secure. And, you can adjust it and tighten it from the front, simplifying the process while you're on the go. The seat comes with a plush infant head support. Then, when your baby needs more room as those little ones tend to grow, you can easily remove the pads to create a more spacious seat. The car seat comes equipped with a LATCH-equipped stay-in-car base, for extra-easy installation. This is easy to install in newer vehicles. The base also features a handy six-position dial adjustment and easy-to-read level indicator, which takes the guesswork out of installation—it helps make it easy to know that your car seat is installed properly. This dial and level is a great feature among baby car seats! With the included and convenient stay-in-car base, you can install the lightweight infant car seat once and then just connect your car seat with a moment's notice. You can also pick up a second stay-in-car base for another parent or caregiver to install in their vehicle. If your baby's eyes are sensitive the seat features a canopy that you can use to shield eyes from bright light. This car seat features a machine-washable seat pad, which is a bonus as kids do make messes. It is ideal for a newborn or infant girl and my initial impression is this is a seat to consider for ease, comfort, and safety of your precious cargo.

Love this seat

Love all Graco products! This seat was shipped quick and is perfect for my foster baby. Clicks easily in base, and both of my Graco strollers. Pretty light weight as for as infant seats go. It's not black like every other seat on the market which was a big selling point. This seat also has the front adjust strap that makes taking baby in and out and making sure he's nice and snug as easy as can be! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Really nice car seat!

I really like this car seat!! I love how light it is. It is much lighter weight than any of the previous car seats I have used for my grandkids. Only a couple of minor complaints- the handle is a little hard getting up when it's in the back seat and it seems really close to the sun shade and catches on it sometimes. But overall this is an excellent car seat and I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs a sturdy, safe, easy to use car seat. Also, I like the colors of this particular one - gray + black - very gender neutral design. (It also comes in other colors if you'd prefer). I give it a hearty thumbs up!

Serves its purpose

Lightweight. We chose this so it would fit to my first child graco click connect stroller which is still nice and sturdy after 4 years with us. Good thing we kept that stroller that my second child can still use it along with a new carseat.

Quality from a trusted name

I chose to review this Graco SnugRide Click Connect 30 car seat as part of the Spark Reviewer program. I chose this car seat because it is compatible with the Graco Click Connect strollers. This seat will be used as a second seat in my husband's vehicle. It is a quality-made seat, with a good amount of cushioning and a cute circle print. It doesn't have the cushioning or supports that some of the more expensive seats have, but it has the safety features which are needed for an infant seat, including side impact tested. It only weighs seven pounds and appears to be very easy to install. The handle is easy to adjust to the carry position but does seem to get caught up in the canopy in a bit when moving it to the back of the seat. The canopy itself could also be a little smoother to adjust. This Click Connect 30 car seat is for use with infants from 4 pounds to 30 pounds. However, in my opinion, I don't believe the cushioning would be substantial enough for a preemie. This is a good moderate level infant car seat from a trusted name in baby products. I am glad I got the chance to review the product and use it with my daughter.

Faulty shade cover.

The shade cover doesn't stay up. It keeps falling back no matter how much you pull it up. It's really annoying and makes the shade cover part worthless. Buckles and keeping baby safevin carseat seem good.
