We love this convertible car seat. The padding seems to be of high-quality, very nice, comfy material, that should be easy to clean. It comes in a range of cute colors, too. My daughter wanted to sit in it as soon as we took it out of the box. The infant supports are much more generous than our first infant car seat's were, and the fabric on them is simply adorable (too bad that our daughter is too old for them now). The seat is easy to install, with either the tether system or the seat belt. It is appropriate for infants and toddlers until they are big enough for a booster seat, as long as they are within the weight guidelines. There is no base to transfer when your need to switch the seat to another car. It's all one piece, so you couldn't very easily use it as an infant carrier, not that we really would need to do that anymore, anyway. The seat reclines on the attached base, which is very nice for front-facing use. Our daughter is 13 months old, and the recommendation is to keep toddlers rear-facing until two years of age. You need to keep the seat fully-reclined for rear-facing use, which is something that our daughter had to get used to again (the old car seat sat considerably straighter-up). She likes sitting up high, though; with its fixed base, this seat is quite a bit taller than the old one, so she can see out of the windows. The cup holder does not add very much to the width of the seat, which is helpful when we need to have two people in the back seat with our daughter, and it fits her sippy cups or snack cups perfectly. The manual was fairly easy to use, and it stores in the back of the seat for quick reference.
