These are the 4th set of Eagle LS 16" tires I have used since 1990. The first 2 sets were on a '90 Mercury Colony Park station wagon, the 3rd on a 2000 Sebring convertible, and now a 2006 Sebring convertible. The current set will be replaced before snow this fall. I have enjoyed a relatively quiet ride, great handling, traction and mpg, and that is why the manufacturers use these as std equipment apparently. They last 50K miles easily, and cost me around $160 each. Only once was a replacement needed for a puncture caused by a steel bolt on the road, and thankfully, the tire did not even blow out, it just went flat overnight, preventing a serious failure. They have been forgiving too, since I forget to rotate them most of the time, and still last longer than the expected 40K. The wagon wore them out somewhat faster because of the soft suspension and mostly suburban driving. Living in WNC mountains, we have light winter snows, heavy summer rain, and driving has been secure and predictable, without hydroplaning, but the Sebring has FWD which keeps most weight over the drive wheels. These Eagle lS tires are a real value in my opinion, and Walmart may have the best pricing I have seen.
