I have been wanting to create a compost pile for years. However, I'm older and don't want to aggravate my shoulder injuries by having to turn one by hand and remember to do so in a timely fashion.
Also I have budget constraints and many of the manufactured composters ( that I thought were good/liked) were well above my budget.
This composter, on sale, was within my budget and the reviews (esp. by older women ) were addressing all my concerns. The unit is tuff but not too heavy when empty. I have it out back and have seen that it is not difficult to rotate even without a handle/crank for leverage. Many of the ones that have cranks have metal stands and cranks that are going to rust and fail..also they are more expensive than those composers that sit below waist level. The remedy for being low ..a few concrete blocks or a set of saw horses etc.
The unit arrived undamaged, in a timely fashion, was complete, and for me, the icing on the cake was the compost tea drain! I think I'm going to love it!!
Even though this composer sits close to the ground
