Do you ever suspect that everyone else has life figured out and you don't have a clue? If so, Rachel Hollis has something to tell you: that's a lie.
If you have ever said any of these things to yourself . . .
- Something else will make me happy.
- I'm not a good mom.
- I will never get past this.
- I am defined by my weight.
- I should be further along by now.
. . . then you could benefit from the unflinching faith and rock-hard tenacity Rachel Hollis has in store for you. In this challenging but conversational book, Rachel exposes the twenty lies and misconceptions that too often hold us back from living joyfully and productively, lies we've told ourselves so often we don't even hear them anymore.
Rachel is real and talks about real issues. More than that, she reveals the specific practical strategies that helped her move past them. In the process, she encourages, entertains, and even kicks a little butt, all to convince you to do whatever it takes to get real and become the joyous, confident woman you were meant to be. Because you really can live with passion and hustle - and give yourself grace without giving up.(1) Additional Product Details - Product Type: Hard Cover Books // Binding: Hardcover // Subject: Religion - Christian Life > Christian Living - Women's Interests > Christian Living - Personal Growth > General // Size: 8.50 x 5.70 // Large Print: N // Contributors: Hollis, Rachel, , // EAN: 9781400201655 // ISBN: 1400201659 // Returnable: Y // Media Item: Y // Imprintable: N // Indexable: N // Publication Date: 2018-02-06 // Religious Item: N (2)

I just finished reading Girl, Wash Your Face: Stop Believing the Lies about Who You Are So You Can Become Who You Were Meant to Be which was a very inspiring book. First off, I am not part of the target audience for this book. Being a fifty-five-year-old man instead of the early thirty-year-old woman this book is written for. Despite not being in the target audience I found many things that I could learn from in this book. Each and everyone of the lies that Rachel talks about in the book apply equally to both men and women. The Lie: I'll Start Tomorrow, is one of many lies in this book that apply to myself. I was just like Rachel for most of my life, I would tell myself that I was going to exercise then not stick to it. I would recommend that everyone take the time to read this wonderful book and learn to make ourselves just a little better in the process.

Rachel Hollis is such an inspiration. This book was just what I needed and I hope that fire it lit within me remains burning for a good long time. This book is down to earth about the struggles we go through and how to push past and overcome them. I feel stronger just having read this. It is relatable and inspirational. *I received a copy of this book from Netgalley. The review is my own, honest and unsolicited.
Girl Wash Your Face!
I haven't yet finished reading it but am enjoying it tremendously! I actually bought it to give as a gift to someone else but since I wanted to read it too, I'm trying to read it quickly before I have to pass it on.
