pretty easy install. take the old one out and put the new one in. i have to buy a new filter every six months . i started to get one of the off brands but hesitated because I didn't know the ramifications and i didn't want any issues. these filters have always worked and I've never had a problem. they work until the indicator light comes on and the taste of the water changes. i drink a LOT of water so it comes on earlier but that's ok. it's an OEM product so you shouldn't have any issues.

Quick and easy to install

This filter works great. It is easy to install. I know several youtubers suggested using a hair dryer to take off the electronic code and use the cheaper version, but that was way too hard. I know this was more expensive, but it makes my life easier to just take out the old one and put the new one in.

i dont know what "ease of inst.." is, so didnt rate it much. this is e allxactly the filter that cane with my frig,, even the box it came in. my son didnt have any problem exchanging the old filter for new. i cant reach to back corner of frig to change it. it performs well,, sure have more water pressure after changing. it did last a little over 6 months before red light on frig came on to indicate need to change. as far as i could find, there us no generic substitute for it.
