This ice machine was so easy to set up and use. First batch of ice was ready within 15 minutes. The ice maker is quieter than I expected. The side tank is a nice addition as I do not have to constantly fill the water chamber. Would highly recommend this product to anyone who loves the nugget chewy ice.

Misinformation on measurements.

I ordered this unit because it stated the assembly product dimensions are (LxWxH) 24.75 x 20.25 x 14.74. The G.E Profile they sent was (LxWxH) 17.5 x 13.43 x 16.5. When I contacted GE they stated that they do not make a unit that is 14.75 inches tall. I am completely unhappy that this unit states the wrong size in height.

    Be sure to get the xl side tank. I thought from other reviews it was going to be very loud however it is much quieter than expected. Was a little pricey but well worth it for me

    Love our Opal 2.0

    We've been using our Opal 2.0 for about a week now and so far so good. I was always hesitant to purchase due to past reviews of the machine being loud. You can definitely tell that it's running but not overly noisy. Just a small background hum.

    Took a week to be usable

    I prefer the features that's from the updated model. However the taste of chemicals/plastic was so strong in the ice it took over a week of running it to be useable and only after countless bins of ice, fresh water and cleaning vinegar running through the machine. Now that it's worn off it's much better at keeping ice made than the last model and there hasn't been any other issues yet.
