My daughter is wearing these Fruit of the Loom Women's Ankle Socks, 6 Pack, as we speak, and she really likes them. She hates bulky socks, but usually wears them for the moisture absorbing properties, which is usually better with thicker socks. She says these are absorbing just as well as the thicker socks, and they aren't bulky. The toe seam is really nice too. She normally spends a good 5 minutes adjusting her socks before she puts on her shoes so that the seam isn't running across the tops of her toes, which is uncomfortable after awhile. All she does with these is put them on, put the shoes on, and she's good to go! They have a good amount of support at the arch also, and she has asked me to continue buying just these socks for her in the future! Recommend for anyone with finicky footed children!

Good comfortable socks
According to the fabric content information on the package, these socks are 58% polyester, 40% cotton, 1% spandex, and 1% “other”. They are not as soft as an all-cotton sock, but they are still pretty soft. The inside has a texture like terry cloth, and you can feel the texture a little on the soles of your feet when you first put them on. After you walk around for a while, the terry cloth texture flattens out and you don't really notice it. I like the size range on these. They fit from shoe size 8 through 12. I am a size 10 which is right in the middle of the size range, so they fit me fine. The toe area is smooth with no “knot” on the end like I've experienced with some other socks. They do not bind and they stay up at the ankle where they belong. There is just enough stretch so they stay conformed to your foot. The package states that they stay black, wash after wash. I have only washed them a couple times so far with no loss of color, so I can't vouch for how the color might be after many washes. They did not shrink or “pill” after being washed in cool water and dried on low.
Soft, Cushiony and Comfortable!
The Fruit of the Loom Women's Ankle Socks, 6 Pack, are extremely soft, cushiony and comfortable. I initially, I wasn't sure I would like them because they have, at the top of the socks, almost a "hem" as you would see on a pair of pants or a skirt. I have never seen that before on a pair of socks and I thought perhaps it may be uncomfortable; or even shrink after washing and drying several times. Accordingly, I washed and dried these socks every other day since I received them approximately three weeks ago. I have worn them every single day and they are just so comfortable, cushiony and soft, I just cannot get over it. I do not feel the "hem" at the top of the socks at all. I have pulled and stretched these socks horizontally and vertically and they continue to hold shape, which I was really surprised. Care instructions on the back of the purchase bag are written in English, Spanish and French. The Fruit of the Loom Women's Ankle Socks, 6 Pack, claim the following: soft premium ring spun cotton; spandex throughout and full cushion support. Additionally, they claim they have softer cushioning and exceptional fit. I agree with all of these statements whole heartedly. Great Product!
Did not hold up after the first wash
At first, I was unsure about how to review socks. I opened the package and washed them first thing. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary, I washed them with some more dark colors I had, cold water wash, and dried them normally. First thing I noticed, four pairs of the six pairs I washed had "pulled" or "runs" in the material. I hope you can see that in my picture. Disappointing to have new socks that can't stand one wash. The big advertising point on the package is "stays black" and "less fade wash after wash". Which is typically true of black socks, they do fade. These socks are not made of all cotton. I looked on the package to see exactly what they were made of. I did not find that information on the package. Possibly part nylon? which would help them retain their color. But, would make them a bit fragile, thus the runs in the socks. Maybe a delicate cycle, or hand washing them would prevent the runs. Anyway, the package contains three pairs of solid black socks and, three pairs that have a bit of color on the heel and toe. One pair had pink, the other purple, and the third had an aqua color. They looked nice but, not with the picks and runs ins them.
These socks are very uncomfortable
I am a Spark Reviewer for Walmart and received a free package of black Ladies Fruit of the Loom, Cushion Ankle socks for my review. The package is normally a 6 pack, but this was a bonus package including 2 extra pair. On the plus side the socks are made in the U.S.A. They are a blend of cotton and Lycra. They state that they will stay black after washing and they did. They did not appear to run off any black dye in the wash if you wash them as instructed in cold water. The ankle socks themselves are a disappointment. They have a rough scratchy feel to them and are of a thinner material. They are not cushioned inside and do not have a padded reinforced heel or toe. There is no arch support and the elastic around the ankle is flimsy. If you are looking for a sock to just wear around the house, these would do I suppose, but with a shoe they do not feel comfortable and after wearing them with a shoe the bottom of my feet felt rough especially in the heel area. I personally prefer a sock to have some cushion to it, as I do a lot of walking and taking care of my feet is important. To me, the socks are made from very cheap material and I don't recommend them.
