Very happy with how it cooled my 190sf room. I have a very narrow 19” wide double hung window so took a chance as website said window should be much wider but worked great using the expansion filler on just one side of unit instead of both sides. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Cools me down!
Well at first I was skeptical about it being only 5,000 BTU but in reality it cools my room down so fast and I had to use a small blanket to cover me and I'm a big man that attracts heat lol so I recommend it to anyone that needs cool air in a small space! Small, however it works like a beast
This is my first window air conditioner I've ever purchased. I've always had either central air conditioning or dealt with fans. It is a excellent little air conditioner. It may only be 5,000 btu's. However, it'll cool down my whole apartment. I placed it in my bedroom window so that I could sleep comfortably. It is quiet as well. Not that I would mind the noise. I run two fans to help circulate the cold air. I like the white noise they all create. Next year I'm going to buy a 7,500 btu unit for my living room. The two of them will work better together to keep my apartment nice and cool. Especially on hot summer days and sultry nights. I live on the top floor. It can get quite hot up here at times. So, I'm very grateful that I found a good air conditioner that works as well as this one. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Two for two
I bought a 6000 BTU last year and a 5000 this year. They both are excellent. Only reservation I have is they seem to have a hard time maintaining fan speed if raining hard--but if left on the high speed that solves the problem nicely. Very quiet compressor and operation also, and very durable. Great air conditioner units.
Easy to install. Operates well.
This air conditioner replaces another Frigidaire that functioned well for many years. Although the old one was working, we felt the need to replace it with a newer model. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
A Nod to Knobs
It's difficult to find an A/C with mechanical controls. Frigidaire hits a home run here. No annoying electronic display or plastic touch control panel which cracks after too much use. Installation - a breeze! Oh, it does what it's designed to - cool our bedroom. Why only 4 stars? It, along with every other A/C we researched, has styrofoam in the air chamber - a breading ground for mold. I'm sure as with the last 2 A/Cs we've had with this design, it will be tossed in a couple years because of moldy styrofoam. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Easy install, does a decent job.
I bought this a month ago and jimmy rigged it for horizontal sliding windows. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Works great and is relatively quiet but I'd like to have more control of fan speed. All it has is high and low. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
