Best dehumidifier on the market. I wish their product support was anywhere as good.
I bought two of these a couple years backs and they are incredible units. They remove a lot of moisture from the air and are very accurate as my humidity measured by a hydrometer with memory shows it staying in a very narrow range exactly as set.
One of them went bad with what appears to be a leak of the cooling system, but that's guaranteed for 5 years. Anyway, after a few emails to ask about getting it repaired and the warranty on the 5 year parts, I never got a response. I sent another and agin no response. I found a good deal on the same model as overstock and bought it to replace the bad one and it's working perfectly. I sent yet another email about the repair on the bad unit and again no response other than that they got the email. This has been going on for a couple months now. I don't expect them to ever get back to me. Like I said, these are great units and dependable, but the warranty is useless since you'll never get any response if you do have any issues. I have been running my dehumidifier every day since I bought it. It is quiet and works very well, drawing all of the water and moisture from the basement.
Works great, when it works
I bought this unit in March 2019. We have a large basement and I keep two dehumidifiers running down there to keep it dry (South Carolina). This one worked great until mid September 2020, then I got the F0 code. On the phone (hold) with Frigidaire right now to see what options I have.
Works great ... then it dies.
I bought this May, 2018. Didn't use it through the winter but plugged it in a couple weeks ago. Was getting the dreaded "F0" error code. Would unplug then try again. I noticed I was getting no water in the bucket. Started investigating and then took the back off. Yup ... coils are froze. So this one is dead. WHY can't something be made to last for more than TWO YEARS? [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Liked it for a while
Purchased in April 2018 and it ran fine until this week. The back coil froze up with ice so I unplugged it and let it sit for a couple of days. When I plugged it back in got FO code. Unplugged it and plugged back in, was gone for a while now FO code back on. Don't know what to do with it.
Horrible product. Coils are getting frozen and leaking from botton
I bought this in 2018 and now its leaking from all over base. I tried to remove air filter and saw big block of ice on back. Opened up the unit to see all condenser and evaporator coils frozen. Cleaned up entire unit including all ice (took 2 hours). Started again and same issue.
Useless after only one season
I purchased this unit (Model FFAD7033R1A) in 2019 and it worked great throughout the 2019 summer season. When I went to use it again in May 2020, the unit worked for about 30 minutes and then error code "F0" appeared. I researched this code and found out this model has rampant problems with the humidity sensor. The "F0" error code appears when that sensor fails. I am very unhappy with this development, as I paid good money for the unit and it worked well before this issue arose. I found out after this issue arose that many others have had this same problem with the sensor. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Constant FO error code after just a few months
As with many other reviews, this unit worked great for the first few months of operation. The unit was purchased in 06/2018 and worked great through the rest of that season. I live in Ohio, and only need to run dehumidifier during certain times of the year, so it was really only used from 06 through at latest 09/2018. Used the Unit sparingly throughout 2019 beginning in June. Began getting the FO error code shortly after we began using it. Didn't have a very wet season last year so we didn't even attempt to use it. Been getting a lot of rain lately, so I attempted to use it this last week. Still getting FO error code and the unit will not work. Have had the Unit 23 months. It's only been used for no more than 6 of those months with sporadic intervals of FO Error codes.
Short Lived Unit
I purchased this item on July 17, 2017 and plugged it in 2 weeks ago and received the F0 error. Tried calling the support number multiple times only to be told there are too many calls and they cant take my call.
I was finally able to get in contact with someone with the CHAT option. I was on the chat with them and was told I would be getting some sort of documentation mailed to me about a replacement unit. I was away from the chat window to gather some information for the agent and when I returned the chat said it was ended. Now I dont know if the documentation is going to be mailed. I tried chatting again but the option on the web site disappeared.
All my appliances are Frigidaire but after this experience and if this isnt resolved, I will be thinking twice about another purchase. I have been happy with the quality of their items but extremely disappointed with this purchase. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
