If all you need is a scale, then this one is overpriced. I however love it. I step on it and it recognizes me (by my weight, feet, body fat? idk -it just does), it displays my weight and body fat percentage then automatically syncs this to their website. I can visually see where I am at from any computer or on my phone with their app.

Expensive but Love it!
weight loss tool
I've been using the Fitbit Aria for about 6 months in conjunction with my Fitbit Flex. It's been a great tool for me to better understand my intake vs. outtake on my quest for a healthier lifestyle. Pro's: - Using the fitbit app for my iphone, I love being able to track historical progress in both weight goals as well as BMI/Body Fat precentage - SYNC's wireless over WIFI - it's smart. the scale recognizes the user as soon as I step on it. It has always distinguished myself from my wife as well as my daughter. GRANTED, there are some huge weight differences between the 3 of us. - it's a beautiful product. It absolutely looks terrific out in the open and aesthetically fits the look of my house - which is absolutely a weird thing to type about a scale Con's: - the one major con I have is that the the WIFI range drops from time to time when the scale is upstairs and the router is downstairs. In the ARIA's defense, my phone also has trouble receiving signal upstairs. The annoyance of this is more of the hassle having to move the scale downstairs near the router from time to time. - if you were diligent, you could buy a digital scale at a fraction of the price. I would never do this since I know that I love the simplicity of having my food intake, my steps/exercise as well as my weight/BMI in a single location.
Fitbit Scale it takes you to task!
I love this scale, but I hate it at the same time. Once you step on it, that is it , you can't fake your weight. It goes right to the Fitbit site and there it is in its glory. All kidding aside, I thought it was a tad expensive. However, I really like it, it takes me to task to watch my intake.
Fitbit Aria Wi-Fi Smart Scale
I had a little trouble linking to my Fitbit account, but it was my error and not the scale. Once I read to the bottom of the online instructions, I set it up very quickly. This scale is so easy to use and you can have more than one person set up. It identifies you each time you weigh which is great because you don't have to select a user before you weigh. If you have a Fitbit I highly recommend this scale.
Great scale overall.
Was a little hard to set up. Took several times to find my Internet but once I got it was easy after that. Step on it and it does the rest syncs to my phone right after I weigh in and tracks my progress. So if your serious about loosing weight this is great tool for that.
I really wanted white, but can't find it any retail stores. Seems to work well overall. Use your mobile device to do the initial networking wifi hookup (as opposed to your PC). This morning my wife said she did not weigh herself yet a weight showed up on the fitbit dashboard.
First one was defective
Ordered this and received it quickly. The first scale was defective right out of the box. Technical support is slow because there is no way to talk to them on the phone. You have to email them and it takes up to 48 hours for them to respond. After several emails they finally concluded it was defective (the process took over a week). Exchanged it for a new one and so far so good.
Fitbit did not stand behind their product
Ive had two of these total $260. Both have now failed right at 1yr warranty expiry. Fitbit did not stand behind their product. Ok but expensive as a scale with fragile internals, bad as a frisbee but the glass is strong. Took two strokes for my hammer to go though it...
Don't waste your time
The product may be ok but the company is terrible. It's another electronic item that will not work after delivery. There is little information on their web site and advertising. It is not disclosed that the scale must be positioned on a hard surface within 10 feet of the router and that it is not compatible with all routers. There is no phone number for customer support and you are expected to email a bunch of information for help. Thanks to Google, I obtained a phone number which of course got me out sourced. With broken English I was informed that it would not function with my newer up-to-date router. The scale was returned and I bought an EatSmart Precision GetFit which does not export data but costs much less and delivers more information.
I can step on the scale 3 times and get 3 different weights. The only cool thing about it is that it syncs with an app on your phone, but that's not cool enough to justify the cost.
