    Music fun for Everyone!!!!

This is a fun and edicational toy! Many music functions included and fun games for your little ones! It teaches them music and numbers all in one! Very colorful and has bright fun lights. The talking Octopus is absolutely amazing!! Great for toddlers up to six years of age! Keeping them entertained for hours to come! And is also great for motor and listening skills. I received this product for free to review but highly enjoyed playing with this with my kids! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

    Cute, but could be better

My children enjoy the Rocktopus in short bursts. For them, it's doesn't hold their interest for very long. It is cute and fun, but very limited in its features, and for that reason I think it is a bit overpriced. My biggest gripe with it is all of the loose pieces and nowhere to store them all. For some reason the toy can only hold 6 "instruments" at a time, so the other 9 have nowhere to go. Needless to say, I find these pieces all over the house. Why they didn't think to add a storage pouch or container to store them all in is beyond me. The instruments are pretty small and very easy to lose, so this is a pretty obvious design fail. As far as the toy itself, it's tolerable compared to other musical toys. It's not too loud and the music isn't terribly annoying, but my children (ages 3 and 6) just get bored with it fairly quickly. I think a couple more features (maybe the ability for kids to record and playback their own voices?) and storage for the pieces would make this a much better toy and worthy of its price tag. Educational, Engaging

My four year old loves this toy. The lights and instrument pieces are fun, bright and engaging, and the multiple modes keep her attention. She loves the technology aspect, and I feel like a great mom for providing a fun alternative to the tablet. There is a math mode, music mode and game mode, and is one of the few “noise” toys we have that doesn't drive us crazy after day 1. This toy works best for children at least 3 who can follow simple instructions, and enjoy music. My daughter knew maybe 3 instruments before this, but the system makes it easy to learn more. Musical fun.

My twin 5 year olds love music. This is awesome, because they can explore the sounds different instruments make and play around. This toy is a great introduction to instruments. My kids want to take musical lessons now and this toy has helped them hear what kinds of music each instrument makes. This toy has provided hours of fun for many different ages of kids. So Much Fun!

We received the Fisher-Price - Think and Learn Rocktopus a few weeks ago, and my 3 year old son has so much fun with it! He loves to hear what all the different instruments sound like. He enjoys the different modes of play, but mainly likes to make the instrument sounds. I love how he was able to figure out how to play with it easily and quickly. It was nice to not have much to put together. My son also loves the IPad app that the instructions recommend downloading. It doesn't interact with the Rocktopus though. The only wish I have for this toy, is that it had more of a place to hold the different instruments. Otherwise the Rocktopus has been a big hit at our house. Great for music lovers!

The Fisher-Price Think and Learn Rocktopus is a fun toy if your child enjoys music. It has many different pieces which represent instruments that the Rocktopus can play. I liked that it included instruments that aren't as popular like the congas and cowbell. My 3 year old was excited to try it out and loved listening to the instruments and seeing the lights. We downloaded the free app that goes along with the toy and my child really enjoyed that. One of the things that I would change is having the toy come with some type of carrying case. 15 instrument pieces are a lot and trying to keep them all together has been a challenge. We look forward to exploring this toy a little more and using the app along with it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

    Nice product

the product is nicely built and the brightness is attractive for the younger kids. The only complaint that I have is that the toy comes with all the instrument cups but there is no place to store them. Other than that it is a great toy for those who love music and will entertain for hours. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Awesome music system with simple controls

This toy is similar to popular music or band builder kids software applications available on some tablets, but has added advantages of being very durable and more interactive. Once the base is turned on and in music mode, you can select different instrument pods and insert them into the arms, and they immediately jump into the current song and begin to play. We had kids between 2-6 years old playing on it, and all were able to quickly pick up how it worked, and all enjoyed plugging in different combinations of instruments to add them to the song and see what the result was. It's advertised for 3-6 year old kids, but I think is probably better for 2-4 year olds, though older kids that have an interest in music and musical instruments will still enjoy. This was one electronic toy where I was actually wishing the volume went a little higher! This is a great toy for 1-3 kids to share and collaboratively build songs with. Some other thoughts: Setup - super easy, batteries included, just remove from packaging and play. I was able to get it from the box to playable within 30-60 seconds without scissors or anything else. Design - With a cool design and lots of colors and lighting, it is pretty good. The instrument pods are numerous and there is only storage for 2 built into the base, so do be prepared to have instrument pods rolling all over. Durability - Seems pretty kid-proof, except for a little shelf that attaches to rear and holds 2 instrument pods. I think this shelf is optional, and I suspect it will get taken off at some point and lost. The instrument pods are a simple mechanical design with no electronics or batteries themselves, so nothing that can get easily broken by water/drops/etc. Sound - No annoying repeating sounds, musical tracks are good, and volume is fine if not a little too soft. Great learning toy for preschoolers!

My 3 yr old loves this toy! He has spent hours playing with it since the day we got it. Its a great learning toy that doesn't lose its appeal in the first day! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

    Cute and educational

The Rocktopus is very cute and has great educational features. It has bright colorful lights and the sounds are clear and understandable. The Rocktopus suggests things to do so you can keep playing different games. The Bop and Rock game seems to be sons favorite, you have to push down the instruments that turn the color Roctopus instructs. The Rocktopus is actually smaller than I expected it to be which is good for storage its only about 12" across 10" front to back and about 6" high. Before you open it advise getting something to store the extra instruments in as they tend to get misplaced easily. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
