I was very excited to receive this Dance and Groove Rockit for my soon to be 2yr old daughter. When it arrived she couldn't wait to get it out of the box to play. The Rockit has four smart stage settings (0, 1, 2, and 3) so it can easily grow with your child from newborn to about 2yrs. For my daughter we set it at the highest to help her learn her ABC's. All of the lights and sounds even attracted the attention of my 4yr old daughter. By far their favorite part was getting to give Rockit a high five, which then prompted him to ask you to talk. When his face lit up red they could say anything which Rockit would then repeat in song. As a parent, one if the things I noticed that made me happy was that Rockit would naturally go into sleep mode. And thankfully it's not one of the toys that will wake up with every slight bump, you must purposely move a switch to wake him.
While Rockit did keep them both coming back to play, it was only for a day or two. Since then he only get an occasionally "wake up" to play for about 10 minutes before my daughter moves on. I will say, I personally found Rockit VERY similar to Beatbo and Beat Bow wow, both of which my daughters already have. But they still pull those out to interact with at least once a week, I'm thinking Rockit will end up the same way. Overall, it's an interesting toy, and I'm very happy to have received it as part of a promotion to write a review. I would recommend Dance and Groove Rockit, but I think it's a best fit for the 6-12 month age range. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
