A home run for Farberware!

This product is a home run for Farberware on every possible front - quality, design, functionality, appearance, price! The price point is less than half of the cheapest competing product I could find. We had one of the original air fryers (not Farberware), a stand-alone fryer that has just the single function (air frying) and barely enough room to provide a meal for two people. Then I was impressed by an infomercial I had seen for an Emeril Lagasse all-in-one air fryer and toaster oven. It was priced at $400 and they were selling it for $200 (if you call in the next five minutes!). When I went online to find the Lagasse product, it had poor reviews, so I started shopping around. That's when I stumbled on this Farberware unit. It was priced under $100 and appeared to have better functionality than the Lagasse as well as all the competing products, priced $200 all the way up to $700. This Farberware product has seven functions - Air Fry, Broil, Bake, Convection Broil, Convection Bake, Toast, and Keep Warm! We have used all the functions and they work perfectly. The air frying alone is superior to the stand-alone unit we had before. The unit is so quiet that, if not for the attractive blue LCD display, you would even wonder if it's on. Unlike our previous air fryer, this unit needs virtually no pre-heating. I saw a review that said it gets too hot on the outside. This is absolutely NOT the case. We have had no problems whatsoever with excessive heat. If the beautiful design and functionality of this product isn't enough, even the little included recipe book deserves an award. I have tried every recipe in the provided book, and every one of them worked out perfectly and was delicious! Buy this unit and you will not be disappointed. BUT, get it only at Wal-Mart and don't be tempted to purchase it anywhere else. They seem to have some sort of exclusive deal. As I said, this is a home run for Farberware. The company should receive accolades and awards from their industry as well as every home chef on the planet!

I prepared anywhere from meatloaf, casseroles, chicken, pizza to cake and cookies. Great covection bake for the price. The heat setting, i felt was 75 degrees hotter than a typical oven. So first time i burnt a few things. Once i got it figured out and adjusted the temperature worked great and cooked even.

Love it!

My son got this for me as a Christmas gift, best gift ever. Love that it is not only an air fryer, but also an oven, grill, and toaster. I cook on it now for everything. It cones with a tray that you can pull out, so it makes it easy to clean. It is easy to operate. Overall I think it’s a steal for it price. Love it ;)

Best Ever, with Few other Questions

Love this item, i got for christmas already cook so much in this, Chicken,Cake,Fries,Porkchops, everything comes out perfect, just trying to figure what different pans an dishes i can use in this, the Manuel says no glass or corningware, which upsets me cause thats what i use in my other Air Fryer , Made a meatloaf the other day was soo good I used my Cast Iron Skillet it came out perfect, i do have a loaf pan but had this sitting out , just wondering if anyone else used baking dishes that are glass like pie pans an things like that, guess im going have to pack away my Corning Ware an buy all metal for this item but other than that I just Love this....

My new toy in the kitchen

It is a little larger than most roster ovens but it does sooo much more I am absolutely loving the convection broil setting it cooks extremely fast I cooked a ribeye in it last night it was so juicy and tender just be careful not to overlook anything because it's a speedy cooker and watch carefully because even the suggested cooking times seem to be a little bit more than suites my taste

Door NO insulation massive heat released to room

I bought this unit and returned it. It's a beautiful unit, but they went cheap on the door and did not add any insulation. The amount of heat it spreads into the room is unbelievable, and that to me is a massive design flaw. I ended up purchasing an Oster TSSTTVMAF1, and took photos before returning the Faberware. The Oster has the insulation, and that makes a big difference. Also for the faberware... maybe I misunderstood the directions, but they seem to suggest you should leave the frying pan on its own, allowing the fat to drip down where the heating elements are... I think that would make a mess, so if I had kept it, I'd only run with the baking pan under it. Also, even though the Oster has 3 top elements as opposed to 4 I really like how the Oster one is a coil over the fan as oppose to straight elements. I'd have added a photo but Walmart only lets you add 2 photos. Had Faberware added insulation to the door and made it double glass, I'd have given it 5 stars. Without that, to me, that's a massive design flaw that drops it to one star.

too hot

I bought this oven at Walmart store $69.88. This oven temperature is extremely hot. I set 325F but it get high at 425F. I went to store and requested exchange the new one. You know what, same issue. Thanks Walmart policy return. Sorry I have to return this oven to get my money back and buy the other brand.

Don't buy!

The drip pan under the lower heating elements is made of thin sheet metal, as is the entire interior of the appliance. Both warped badly enough after just a month or so of use that the sheet metal came into contact with the heating elements leading to the possibility of an electric shock. Going to return to Walmart

Too hot too fast

This is my third one. I kept trying because I figured I'd eventually get one that worked correctly, but I give up. The first 2 cooked too hot and too fast, so when this one did the same I bought an oven thermometer to check it. After lots of testing here are the results at "bake" setting: set at 350 - temp is 450 set at 300 - temp is 400 set at 275 - temp is 350 set at 250 - temp is 300 Light toast setting would be medium on other toaster ovens. I haven't tried air fryer yet, but would expect that to work well because of the high temps.

1. All air fryers say avoid using aluminum foil period, b/c it can't circulate to cook evenly. They sell sheets that I've read others use and I'm pretty sure you can buy them at Walmart or Amazon. The sheets are like or may even be parchment paper, but not positive of what they're called.

2. I frequently use heavy duty aluminum foil cut/folded to an appropriate size and sprayed with some not-stick spray to prevent stuff from dripping on the bottom of the oven. This is especially true when I cook something like French bread pizza to which I've added some extra onions, mushrooms and cheese. I often set it aside and reuse it when needed.

2. I wouldn't recommend it - you need several inches of clearance on sides and back for heat to escape
