Better than Kitchen Aid
I purchased this for my wife this past Christmas, debated getting the Kitchen aid and We are happy we didn't. It's motor is more than powerful enough, great design, Easy to use. We've used this mixer for many many things from baking to shredding chicken for meals always does a great job! We are very happy with it!
Top Negative Review
We got this last Christmas. The plastic parts fell apart in less than 6 months. When we contacted the manufacturer they did nothing about it. There were no replacement parts you can purchase! We also had a Farberware food processor and the plastic parts broke. We don’t even use them that often, maybe once a month. These are made cheaply and have no guarantee to replace it or even parts for it. I will never buy any Farberware things again. Pieces of junk.

I love this mixer so much, I bought a second one!

I love this mixer so much I bought a second one! Years ago, my mom bought me (as a present) an Kitchen Aid Artisan Mixer... Well, that one works for light batters like cakes and mousses, but the moment you ask that motor to do anything a bit though, like cookie batters, it starts heating up and a funny burnt smell makes you stop cold and promise to never do it again... So for the last couple of years, I had no way to do dense cookies, and not even think of doing bread. I didn't want to kill my mom's present. A friend recommended I get one of these, and for the price (I got it a $50 on sale) I said, what do I have to lose?! and went ahead and got my first one... Right away I did bagels!!! Yes, I was able to do a dense batter and NOTHING happened to the mixer, no odor, no heating up, nothing, and to make thinks better, it didn't even bog down! I was in heaven... I tried French Bread, that thick batter has to knead for 30 minutes non stop, and it did beautifully, no burnt smells, no heating up... Tried doubling the recipe for buns... it worked just as good, and the bowl was big enough to hold the batter even when it proof (doubled in size). I added the pictures of the batter in the Mixer and the amount of buns made with it. After that, I had to get a second one. I was lucky and got the second one at $50 again. And now I have 2 bowls to work my breads back to back and a spare machine when this one gets tired of me abusing it every weekend. I LOVE IT! My Artisan sits pretty in a corner and watches how this Farberware has all the fun with me now!

Great Item

I really wanted to invest in a stand mixer and was about to purchase a kitchenaid when i stumbed across a review of this Farberware stand mixer done by a Youtuber whom Ive watched for a few years. She gave it a good rating so i decided to see if this 99.00 stand mixer will make the items i make often. Ive had this mixer for over a month now and ive made, cookie doughs, cakes, whip cream, breads and different types of pizza doughs. All with no problems so far. Im waiting for the attachments tht may help me with making pastas To be fair this is my first stand mixer and although I am new to the mixer im not new to creating my own doughs from scratch. This item helps me to create them faster. I find myself making more items from scratch now that i have my newest toy.
My son bought me this mixer and i absolutely love it!! Very powerful! i have made many batches of cookies with it so far. I would HIGHLY recommend this mixer!!

LOVE THIS APPLIANCE

I'm so in love with this stand mixer! I'm looking for any excuse to use it. You need those eggs scrambled? Throw it in the mixer. You want those potatoes mashed up? Mixer. You need your iced tea stirred? Mixer. I'm joking but you get the picture. I don't know what the negative reviewers are talking about, this thing is great!

Move over Kitchenaid

I picked this up on Black Friday (wasn't on sale) and so far I love it. Made some mashed potatoes in about 3 minutes and they came out perfect with no effort on my part. I was going to buy a Kitchenaid but this was 1/3 the price and the diecast body and diecast attachments had me sold (whisk has a plastic base) sucion cups keep it mounted to my countertop at high speeds and the splash guard was a nice extra. Over all I'd say forget the Kitchenaid and go with this underdog. 2 year warranty and diecast attachments with a diecast body? Why not! Add a powerful 600 watts of capability and there's no question why I chose this over a mixer with less watt powered higher price tag. This unit is clearly aimed at being a contender and I'm sure with construction like this I'll have it for years to come. (look at the pictures of this mixers add compared to a Kitchenaid add)

PLEASE DON'T BELIEVE THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS

I completely and respectfully disagree with the comment that stated that the bowl must be manually scraped in order to ensure complete mixing. The very engineering and design of the bowl, as well as the included attachments, make it virtually impossible for such action to be necessary. The inverted done in the bottom of the bowl, as well as the planetary action, ensure complete mixing, and therefore totally negate such a complaint. This product is definitely a comparable model to the more expensive KA. The body, internal parts and gears are all comprised of diecast metal, not plastic. It is also more lightweight than the KA model, yet its stability during high speed or heavy dough mixing is not compromised. Optional attachments will be available for purchase soon, as this is a new Farberware design. The two year manufacturer's warranty is also a big plus, as most other stand mixers of this quality only have a one year warranty. In summary, Farberware has introduced a very functional, attractive and cost effective competitor in the stand mixer category. It is an excellent value and choice for individual kitchen needs.

BEST BUY EVER!!!

EVERYTHING, ESPECIALLY THE PRICE. HUSBAND BOUGHT FOR MY CHRISTMAS GOODIES. I USED IT ALL DAY . 400 COOKIES AND 20 PIMENTO CHEESE AND CREAM CHEESE WRAPS. I WANTED A KITCHENAIDE BUT I AM SO PROUD OF THIS MACHINE!!!!!!! YALL BUY THIS ONE INSTEAD OF THE OTHER BRAND. YOU WILL BE SURPRISED.

Pretty in Pink

My father in law bought me this for Christmas a few years ago and I love it, I have never had my own mixer and have only used professional mixers at work which are MASSIVE! This thing is much better as the attachments actually reach down further! low is pretty fast but not too fast so that's nice. I make tons of mash potatoes in it! My only complaint is that I wanted to buy attachments like the Kitchen-aid has like a pasta maker and such and I was surprised to find that it doesn't have any or the place to attach them. On the plus side they are cheap to buy on their own like a hand crank pasta maker so I am not too disappointed!

Happy I Got One

I'm actually an associate who works at walmart. I'm hoping that doesn't bring down the value of my review, because I am on a fixed hourly rate and I do not get commission for increased sales, lol. I only mentioned that I'm an associate, to be up-front and honest. I saw these stand mixers on the "hot spot" shelf around Christmas time. I always wanted a stand mixer, but couldn't justify spending $100+ on even a good one. Then after Christmas, I heard that a manager was marking these down to $60, so after I clocked out for the night, I went over and bought one! I'm quite the YouTube addict, so I made some review videos of this product. Why? Well first because I love doing reviews. But also because I couldn't find any review or "how to" videos for the Farberware stand mixer, specifically. So now there are some! lol. Anyway, my biggest concerns were, would it work well for the 2 major opposites: Light and fluffy things like whipping egg whites-- and heavy dough. So I tried those two. First, I like the fact that its pretty quiet, you don't have to YELL to be heard over the mixer, a least not on the slower speeds. It does get louder as you speed it up. Second, I like how smooth the movements are, not jerky. Third, I like how easy and user friendly it is. 4th, I like the fact that the flat paddle and the dough hook are solid die-cast metal, not plastic (and so is the whole outer body of the mixer!). The whisk has a plastic base though. I like the spill guard and the little spout it has. And the fact that they are all dishwasher safe (although I don't know if the bowl is? Maybe not, since it wasn't mentioned...). I did get the 2-year warranty (it cost me $6), because I pretty much always get the warranty on everything. But that's not bad, for 2 years. As for mixing fluffy egg whites, first I tried only 2 eggs, just to make a small sample for my video. But I don't think big kitchen mixers are meant for tiny samples, it didn't seem to be enough liquid to really get going. So I doubled the eggs to 4 and used a little more tartar powder. That did the trick, after a couple minutes I had stiff, fluffed egg whites! Then dough... I went with pizza dough, so I could make it for dinner. It took a few minutes for that dough hook to really gather everything together, but in the end it came off the sides of the bowl and started forming a big ball, so I was left with a smooth, even pizza dough to work with! So for me at least, it passed both tests. I'm glad I finally have a decent stand mixer that I could afford.
