Instantly hooked! Iâm obsessed. This is my first air fryer Iâve made three small meals for my toddler in this thing. So easy and I was able to make the meal in the time it would take the oven to preheat. Made frozen sweet potato fries and they turned out amazing (better than the oven). The size of the basket, the sleek look and ease of use make this an excellent value! Get it.
This airfryer is a Godsend. First, the basket is large enough to feed two, and the release button design is really clever, making clean-up a breeze. Second, it's almost completely odorless, I have cooked a variety of foods with it and my folk couldn't tell what was inside. Also, in terms of space and functionality, this one's a winner - uses just a small spot on my kitchen counter, the easy to use interface and pre-programmed options are incredibly simple, and the inclusion of a nifty recipe book made the deal even sweeter. I have owned a traditional Farberware 1.2L fryer for about a couple of years and totally love it - the problem was obviously the oil, and any foods prepared there weren't exactly "healthy". I have prepared oil-less fries, burgers, chicken and more with this bad boy and I can't tell the difference between these and those cooked with my older model. On a side note, I think people complaining about the release button getting stuck or broken are simply not handling the product properly, what I do is hold the back of the basket with a silicone mitt while grabbing the handle, and also keep the release button pressed when reinserting the basket into the basket holder. My only gripe is that sometimes it's a bit hard to pull the basket holder out of the unit, but it makes sense since it's meant to stay firmly in its place. Amazing fryer by Farberware, great value for my money and now I'm eating healthier than ever before. Recommended!!
It really serves well in my kitchen work since the day I received. Though a strong smell of plastic existed during the first several times used, then the smell dissipates gradually. Thanks for the recipes appended C, I made Chinese Pork BBQ, dumplings, spring rolls, popcorn chicken, potato chips, etc with little oil. I can have delicious snacks in lower calories due to the new cooking method. The volume of this airfryer fits family of 2-3.
Bought this as a gift in christmas, works great only reason i dont give it 5 stars is because it heats up the room but thats normal in air fryers. Very easy to use and simple to understand, this is the first air fryer for my mom (44 age) and age didnt even read the manual because its like an easy oven. I do recommend to clean carefully as all ceramic and non stick utensils.
fryer delivered 07/1/19 two days as Walmart promise. I start off saying that it's too large. Before cooking anything the manual encourage you to heat the unit for about 20 mins before using to burn off etc. It's only one person here, so I really don't need this large of a unit, most of the weight is in the unit itself and not in the basket. I tried chicken legs (it's what I had on hand), I put three in, I think it could have taken four, but I stayed with the three, I set the timer at 25 mins (the manuel said 20mins) stop it somewhere between 13 mins and turn them over, spray a little oil and restarted it. I used panko (I won't use that again). Maybe next time I will try them naked. Clean-up was very easy (light soap and water) Again it's too large for me. If you are doing chicken wings am thinking you will need to do in two batches, as you can see from my pictures the basket is not that large. Will I keep it? the jury is out!
I gave this air fryer 2 stars because I loved it while it worked. I ordered it online and used it 3x's a week for maybe 20 minutes each time. I worked great until the fan in it died. The other thing I did not like about this was that the heating element on the upper part of the fryer in the inside became really greasy and sometimes french fries would end up in there. I ordered it online and hopefully can get my money back since there wasn't any type of paper providing my proof of purchase enclosed in my package when it arrived. Hoping Walmart will honor an email that states my fryer shipped as proof of purchase.
a few months after i purchased this fryer it decided that the tray didn't want to lock into place. it has a safety on it and won't work unless it does. i forced it and made it work for a few months before it started acting up again. the led on the power button also stopped working making it raelly hard to even find in the led display to turn the unit on. it worked really well when it did work but just wasn't worth the headaches. i ended up throwing it away and will be buying a different model
